(Prior Art) A patient cannot speak during dental treatment.
Therefore, conventionally, the degree of pain and the patient's intention during treatment have been known to dentists through their experience. In other words, the dentist judged the degree of pain and intention based on the condition of the affected area, the details of the treatment, the patient's facial expressions, etc.

On the other hand, as a medical device, a device that constantly monitors a patient's condition by detecting the patient's blood pressure, heartbeat, etc. is also known. (Special Publication No. 49-5428,
(Refer to Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 52-41260) However, since the above-mentioned known medical devices are not equipped with a means for communicating the patient's own will, it is difficult for patients who are unable to speak to express their own will. The information cannot be communicated to the doctor, and the doctor may not be able to make an accurate judgment, especially if the function is used to perform treatment when the patient is unable to speak, such as during dental treatment. For this reason, it is not preferable to use the known medical monitoring device as a dental treatment function.

(Problems to be Solved by the Present Invention) Incidentally, even for experienced dentists, it is difficult to fully know the degree of pain and intentions of patients. For example, when we stopped treatment because a patient was grunting, it turned out to be saliva stuck in his throat. In such cases, if there had been a means of communicating one's will, such problems would not have occurred. Also, there are some people who endure severe pain and put up with it. In such cases, if there had been a means to objectively judge pain, such pain could not have been caused.

In this way, it is difficult to fully understand the patient's pain and will, so in the past, treatment has often been interrupted even when the patient is not in much pain, or conversely, treatment has been continued even though the patient is in severe pain. There was a problem.

Further, as described above, even if the known medical equipment is used for dental treatment, the problems in dental treatment cannot be solved because there is no means for communicating the patient's wishes.

(Effect) Dentists can objectively know the patient's pain by monitoring blood pressure, heart rate, and electrical resistance of the skin during treatment, and can also learn the patient's will by transmitting grip force. Can be done.

Referring to FIG. 1, the dental monitoring device according to this embodiment is comprised of detection means 1A to 1D and a display device 2. Each of the detection means 1A to 1D detects changes in the patient's body during dental treatment and converts the changes into electrical signals. Display device 2
inputs signals from each detection means 1A to 1D,
Based on this, changes in the patient's body are visually displayed.

Each of the detection means 1A to 1D has a different detection target. 1A is a detection means for measuring blood pressure. Blood pressure can be measured simply by pinching one's fingers, so it is preferable to employ such a simple measuring means. 1B is a detection means for detecting heartbeat. Since it is possible to measure the heartbeat at the same time when measuring the blood pressure with a finger, it is preferable to measure the heartbeat at the same time as the blood pressure measurement. 1C is a detection means for measuring the electrical resistance of the skin. Since it is possible to measure the electrical resistance of the skin at the same time as the blood pressure measurement, it is preferable to do so. These sensing means 1A to 1D may be attached to predetermined positions on the patient's body, or may be provided together with the grip 3, which will be described later.

1D is a detection means for measuring grip strength. This detection means 1D, as shown in FIG.
A pressure sensitive element 4 is fixed to a grip 3. The patient is holding the grip 3, and when the patient feels pain due to the treatment and grips his/her hand tightly, this is converted into an electrical signal by the action of the pressure sensitive element 4. The electrical signal changes depending on the strength of the grip.

Also, regarding the detection means for measuring this grip strength,
Prior to treatment, the dentist and patient should consult in advance and decide in which cases to squeeze firmly, or decide in advance the number of times to squeeze and give each number a meaning. It is something to keep.

Blood pressure and heart rate tend to increase due to pain, tension, patience, fear, etc. The electrical resistance of the skin similarly changes due to pain, tension, patience, fear, etc. Dentists objectively understand the patient's condition by observing changes in blood pressure, heart rate, and electrical resistance of the skin, and take steps to stop treatment or take other measures to relieve the patient's pain.

The signals of blood pressure, heart rate, electrical resistance of the skin, and grip strength detected by each of the above-mentioned detection means 1A to 1D are inputted to the display device 2 via the cord 5. On the display device 2, each detection target such as blood pressure is visually displayed. The dentist can objectively know the patient's pain by looking at the display changes on the display device 2. According to the present invention, since it is not a patient's own subjective expression of pain, the dentist's judgment can be objective and accurate even if there are individual differences among patients, such as those who are exaggerated or those who are patient. .
