Air is blown downward from the chamber, and air containing paint mist is exhausted from an exhaust chamber installed on the floor of the booth, creating an almost constant airflow inside the booth from the ceiling to the floor. ing.

There are known systems in which all of the clean air that has passed through an exhaust treatment device is exhausted to the outside, and systems in which a portion of the exhaust air is circulated through the air supply path to reduce losses such as heat.

An exhaust treatment device for treating such a large amount of exhaust gas is extremely large, and equipment costs are high. In addition, even if the painting booth is large, there are various accessories attached to the painting equipment, so the object to be painted (such as the body of a car) will actually pass through it.
The actual working space where the paint is sprayed is a part of the whole, and it is necessary to supply this part with airflow of clean, appropriate temperature and humidity, but the surrounding surrounding space is not as well-ventilated. It is not necessary to provide conditioned air. However, with conventional systems, a nearly constant airflow is generated vertically throughout the entire painting booth.
The burden on the air conditioner is correspondingly large, and the equipment cost is therefore high.

The air sent into the air supply duct 6 passes through the second air supply chamber 4 and is blown out toward the peripheral zone B of the coating booth 1. This airflow moves from top to bottom in the peripheral zone B, flows to the second exhaust chamber 8 directly below the peripheral zone B by the suction action of the air supply fan 17, and further flows from the space 14 to the circulation duct 15 to the second air conditioner 16. →The air is fed under pressure to the air supply duct 5 through the air supply fan 17. The air sent into the air supply duct 5 is blown out from the first air supply chamber 3 toward the work zone A of the painting booth 1, forming an air flow from top to bottom that envelops the substantial painting space for the car body 2. . Due to the suction action of the exhaust fan 12, this flow flows into the first exhaust chamber 7 directly below the work zone 8, and further, the vertical pipe 9→space 10→exhaust duct 11→exhaust fan 1

Note that since air once heated by the first air conditioner 18 flows into the second air conditioner 16, the heater capacity may be smaller than that of the first air conditioner 18.

The outside air is first passed through the first air conditioner to the surrounding zone, the air is recovered and passed through the second air conditioner to the work zone, and the air recovered from the work zone is discharged to the outside through the exhaust treatment device. The amount of air that needs to be treated by the exhaust treatment device is very small compared to the amount of air flowing inside the booth, which reduces equipment costs. In addition, since highly conditioned air is supplied only to the work zone, the overall air conditioning capacity can be reduced, resulting in lower equipment costs.
