Conventionally, this type of air conditioner was developed in 1982.
There is something like the one disclosed in Publication No. 38235,
It is constructed as shown in FIG. To explain this based on the same figure, in the same figure, the one indicated by 1 is a ceiling-embedded air conditioner equipped with a decorative panel 4 having an inlet 2 and an outlet 3 provided on both sides of the lower part. A main body of the device, 7 is a lower surface of the ceiling, 8 is a multi-blade blower disposed within the main body 1 and located above the suction port 2, and 9 is formed between the blower 8 and the air outlet 3. The air passage 10 is a heat exchanger disposed within this air passage 9. In addition,
Arrows in the figure indicate air flow.

In the air conditioner configured in this manner, room air is sucked in from the suction port 2 by rotation of the blower 8 and is blown to the heat exchanger 10 . At this time, the air is cooled and dehumidified within the heat exchanger 10.
The air is then blown out from the air outlet 3 to condition the air in the room.

By the way, in this type of air conditioner,
The main body is installed embedded in the ceiling. In other words, the area around the main body is in an atmosphere of ceiling air that is hotter and more humid than indoor air. Therefore, when the side surface of a decorative panel exposed to the lower surface of the ceiling and cooled by the indoor air comes into contact with the air in the ceiling, condensation 11 occurs in that area, and the dew drips into the room or seeps into the ceiling material. There were problems such as the risk of contamination accidents.

This invention was devised in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and aims to provide an air conditioner that is free from the risk of condensation forming on the sides of the decorative panel.

In this invention, the thermal conductivity of the decorative panel is reduced because the slits are provided on the side of the decorative panel, and the side of the decorative panel is thermally isolated from the area exposed to the lower surface of the ceiling and cooled by indoor air. Even if the air in the ceiling comes in contact with the sides, no condensation will occur.

An embodiment of this invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 4. In the figure, 1 is a ceiling-embedded air conditioner main body in which a decorative panel 4 having an inlet 2 and an outlet 3 is disposed below, and 5 is an air conditioner installed in a line along the entire circumference of the lower side of the decorative panel 4. A plurality of rectangular slits 7 are on the lower surface of the ceiling.

In the air conditioner constructed in this manner, as shown in FIG. 2, the slit 5 is provided below the side surface of the decorative panel 4, so that the thermal conductivity between the lower surface and the side surface of the decorative panel 4 is reduced. In other words, the side surface of the decorative panel 4 is exposed in the lower surface 7 of the ceiling and is thermally separated from the area that is cooled by indoor air. Therefore, even if the hot and humid air in the ceiling comes into contact with the sides, no condensation will occur.

In the above embodiment, the slit 5 is provided at the lower side of the decorative panel 4.
As shown in the figure, around the entire side of the decorative panel 5,
A large number of circular or square holes may be provided in a punched metal shape, and the same effect as in the above embodiment can be obtained.

As described above, according to this invention, the lower surface and side surfaces of the decorative panel are thermally separated by the slits provided at the lower side of the decorative panel, thereby preventing the formation of dew condensation due to the hot and humid ceiling air coming into contact with the side surfaces. This has the effect of eliminating the risk of contamination caused by condensed water dripping into the air or seeping into ceiling materials.
