Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a laminate having little errors or distortions in dimension or shape, being light in weight and waterproof, having uniform strength in the face direction thereof, and being easy to process, by a method wherein two wooden base sheets each formed by arranging a plurality of sheet form wood pieces are opposed to each other, with a gap therebetween, in the face direction thereof, and a hard foamed polyurethane layer is provided in the gap to unite the base plates. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 4A formed at a butt end of each rectangular wood piece 4 is fitted, and adhered by an adhesive, to a corresponding projected part 4B of an adjacent rectangular wood piece 4, thereby forming a base plate 2. A foamed polyurethane layer 3 is produced by setting a gap 5 between two such base plates 2, 2, assembling a metallic mold along peripheral parts of the base plates 2, 2 to surround the gap 5, then pouring a polyurethane resin into the mold, and foaming and curing the resin. The laminate 1 thus obtained can be produced in any desired length and width, with a reduced weight and waterproofness. Further, the laminate 1 has uniform strength in both the directions thereof, and is not reduced in the strength at cut parts, so that no additional reinforcement is required. When electric wire or cable, gas pipe or the like is passed through a through-hole 3A formed in the polyurethane layer 3, there is no need for special support fittings or the like.

Among these plate materials, the veneer is expensive and heavy, which is disadvantageous in terms of handling during transportation, construction, processing, etc. Furthermore, although veneer plywood and particle board are cheap, they are also heavy and have the same disadvantages as the veneer board. Furthermore, the veneer board is easily distorted due to warping, and plywood, particle board, and flashboard also have a problem in that their dimensions and shapes are easily distorted when they absorb water. Furthermore, the flashboard is advantageous in terms of handling as described above because of its low price and small weight, but its structure is made by bonding two thin boards together using a frame material arranged appropriately. Therefore, there is a hollow part in the part where the frame material is not located, and the strength in the plane direction, that is, the thickness direction of the board material in that part is small (as a result, in addition to being depressed when pressed, there is a hollow part in the part where the frame material is not located. When cut in sections, the hollow section is exposed and a separately prepared reinforcing material must be fitted into that section, which is a disadvantage. In the case of electrical circuit wiring,
It is completely unsuitable for inserting and supporting piping of a gas supply path inside the plate material. That is, in the case of the veneer, plywood, and particle board, it takes time and effort to form through holes for the wiring, etc., and in the case of flashboard, the cables, etc. for the wiring, etc. are inserted into the cavity of the flashboard. Metal fittings, etc. to support it must be installed in advance. Furthermore, if water splashes on one surface of conventional board materials, it will penetrate and reach the other surfaces, leaving the board in a wet state and making it difficult to dry, making it difficult to use it for kitchens, bathrooms, etc. To do this, special water-resistant treatments must be applied to surfaces that come into contact with water.

The laminate according to the present invention has a structure in which a hard urethane foam layer is provided as an intermediate layer between two wooden substrates, each of which is formed by arranging a plurality of plate-shaped wood pieces. The dimensions of the laminate are set according to the number of boards used, and the weight is smaller than that of veneer, plywood, or particle board of the same thickness, and even if one board gets water, it will not reach the other board. does not reach or penetrate. Also,
The laminate according to the present invention, which has a hard urethane foam that does not absorb water in the intermediate layer, has little deviation in size and shape. Moreover, the strength in the plane direction is uniform in any part of the substrate. Furthermore, the foamed urethane layer is easy to process, such as forming through holes.

1 to 3 show an embodiment of a laminate according to the present invention. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a laminate according to the present invention, which is made up of a pair of wooden substrates 2.2 and a hard urethane foam layer 3. More specifically, each board 2 is formed by arranging a plurality of plate-shaped wood pieces 4. That is, each piece of wood 4 has a rectangular shape with a width of, for example, about 1Q cm, and these pieces are connected by, for example, fitting together recesses 4A and protrusions 4B formed on mutually adjacent butt ends. A substrate 2 is formed. In that case, it is advantageous to apply an adhesive between the recessed portion 4A and the convex portion 4B, since the bonding force between the pieces of wood 4 will be increased and the bonded state will be stabilized. As this piece of wood 4, wood that has been dried and processed into a plate shape using a normal method may be used.
In addition, Patent No. 1204986 (name of invention = “
“Method of processing wood into a buried wood shape”; Patent application 1986-3921
2, Japanese Patent Publication No. 58-18205) may be used. Further, the foamed urethane layer 3 has a gap 5 in the plane direction between the substrates 2, 2.
A mold is attached to the peripheral edges of both substrates 2, 2 so as to surround the gap 5, and urethane resin is injected, foamed, and cured.

According to such a configuration, the laminate 1 has a narrow piece of wood 4
By arranging the required number of substrates 2.2, it is possible to freely manufacture substrates 2.2 of various sizes from large to small in vertical and horizontal dimensions.

In addition, since the foamed urethane layer 3, which weighs less than wood, is provided between the substrates 2 and 2, the overall weight of the laminate 1 is lighter than the aforementioned veneer or the like. Furthermore, since the hard urethane foam layer 3 has independent bubbles, it does not absorb water, and water on one substrate 2 is prevented from reaching the other substrate 2, so the laminate 1 is waterproof. Therefore, it is suitable as a material for construction or furniture in places where water is used, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

In particular, in the laminate 1 using the substrate 2 made of wood pieces 4 subjected to the treatment method according to the patent, moisture and tree sap in the wood pieces 4 as the material of the substrate 2 are completely removed by evaporation. Its composition changes to a state in which only fibers remain, and as a result, it exhibits water absorption similar to that of conventional dried wood, but its ability to drain absorbed moisture is much higher than that of conventional dried wood. have. As a result, the laminate l made up of the substrate 2 made of such wood pieces 4 dries in a short time even if it absorbs water, so it is difficult to break and is therefore suitable for use as an interior material for bathrooms that are exposed to a lot of water and humidity. It is particularly suitable as

Further, since the foamed urethane layer 3 exists over the entire gap 5 of the substrates 2.2, the strength in the plane direction is uniform over the entire surface of the substrates 2, 2, and therefore, the strength in the plane direction, that is, the laminate 1. No matter where you cut the material in the thickness direction, the strength of the cut portion will not decrease. Therefore, there is no need to further fit a reinforcing member into the cut portion as in conventional flashboards.

Furthermore, since the hard urethane foam layer 3 does not expand or contract or absorb water after curing, there is an advantage that changes in the thickness of the laminate 1, that is, deviations thereof, are reduced.

In addition, when using this laminate l as a partitioning material for a building, all that is required is to form a through hole 3A in the urethane foam layer 3 as shown in FIG. 3, and insert an electric wire, gas pipe, etc. therein. These can be supported without requiring special metal fittings or the like.
