In this type of automatic transaction device, when performing a deposit transaction, the banknotes inserted into the banknote input/receiving section of the automatic banknote processing machine are separated and fed one by one, and the authenticity and denomination of all banknotes are verified. After performing this, in order to confirm that there is no difference between the amount recognized by the device and the amount recognized when the customer inserts the money, the amount recognized by the device is displayed on the display and the customer is requested to confirm it. It's becoming like that. In other words, a process is provided for establishing a correct transaction based on the customer's indication of intent, such as by pressing a confirmation key.

However, in the conventional banknote processing machine mentioned above,
When storing banknotes temporarily accumulated in the genuine bill bulk stacking unit into respective banknote storage units by denomination, these banknotes are once returned to the banknote input/reception unit and passed through the separation/feed unit and banknote validation unit again. Since the banknotes are conveyed to each banknote storage section, the conveyance distance becomes long, which increases the processing time, and also causes conveyance troubles such as jamming of banknotes during conveyance, or so-called skew feeding, diagonal feeding, and double feeding. There is a problem in that not only the number of opportunities increases, but also the downtime of equipment operation becomes longer, causing great inconvenience to financial institutions and customers.

In addition, in conventional banknote processing machines, deposited banknotes, etc. are accumulated and stored in their natural state, so if multiple banknotes with many folds and wrinkles are stored, they become bulky and the actual number of banknotes that can be stored is significantly reduced. The banknotes will not be able to be stored during the next deposit transaction.
There was also the problem that deposit transactions could be frequently interrupted.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention includes a bill insertion/reception section for a customer to insert or receive banknotes, and a separation/feeding section for separating and feeding the bills passed from the bill insertion/reception section one by one. , a banknote discrimination unit that discriminates the authenticity, denomination, etc. of the banknotes sent from the separating and feeding unit; and a banknote storage unit that stores the deposited paper after the discrimination and also stores the banknotes to be withdrawn. and a temporary accumulation space for deposited banknotes provided on the storage opening side of the bill storage, wherein the banknotes already stored in the banknote storage and the temporary accumulation space are stacked in the temporary accumulation space. banknotes and banknotes,
and at least four movable members, each of which is movable in the banknote stacking direction and separable in a direction away from the banknote stack; an impeller that is movable to a position separated from the temporary accumulation space at the time of return and withdrawal, and which accumulates banknotes in the temporary accumulation space at the time of deposit, and the temporary accumulation space at the time of return of deposited banknotes and withdrawal of money; a suction drum that sucks and feeds out banknotes, and the movable members are arranged in at least two sets in the left and right direction of the banknotes, with one set in the vertical direction of stacking of banknotes, and these two sets of movable members are independent of each other. When depositing money, one set of the two movable members is used as a temporary accumulation space, and the other set is used as a stored banknote holder, and when withdrawing money, the accumulation car is moved from the temporary accumulation space. At the same time, the two sets of movable members are interlocked with each other, and the lower movable member is separated.

Furthermore, the temporary storage space 50 is set to a size that can store the maximum number of deposited banknotes allowed for one transaction, for example, 100 banknotes, and setting the size in this way is an unnecessarily wide space. This is because it becomes difficult to regularly line up banknotes that have a tendency to bend or otherwise bend. In other words, consideration is given to storing the deposited banknotes in the minimum necessary temporary accumulation space 50.

On the other hand, if the transaction is unsuccessful, that is, if the customer presses the cancel key 32 while the banknotes are stored in the temporary accumulation space 50 as shown in FIG.
As the impeller 62 and the stopper 73 retreat to the above-mentioned retracted position, the movable members 54a and 54b rotate and open, and further movement of the movable members 53a and 53b and the bill receiver 59 causes the bills to be accumulated in the temporary accumulation space 50. The bill moves to a position where the banknote can be sucked and sent out by the suction drum 63, that is, to a position where it comes into contact with the suction drum 63 as shown in FIG. 5, and then stops. This movement stop control is performed by a detection element such as a micro switch (not shown) provided on the surface of the suction drum 63 detecting contact with the tip of the banknote, and the banknote is held until the detection element reacts. This is achieved by moving forward.

As the suction drum 63 rotates in the direction of arrow B, the most advanced banknotes that have come into contact with the suction drum 63 are sequentially separated and fed in the direction of the dispensing conveyance path 72b. That is, the suction drum 63 separates and feeds the banknotes that are in contact with the outer periphery one by one per rotation by applying a negative pressure to the suction port provided on the outer periphery of the suction drum 63 . Therefore, by pressing the cancel key 32,

Here, replenishment of banknotes into the banknote storage units 47 to 49 or collection of banknotes is carried out using the banknote storage units 47 to 49.
One method is to remove the banknotes from the housing 21, and the other is to use the staff supply and collection unit 43. In other words, in the case of replenishment, the staff supply and collection unit 43 is supplied with banknotes of each denomination at once, and the banknotes are stored from there. The banknotes are fed and stored in the banknote storage units 47 to 49 according to the predetermined procedure described above, and in the case of collection, all the banknotes in each banknote storage unit 47 to 49 are accumulated in the staff supply and collection unit 43, and then the staff There is a method of collecting banknotes all at once from the supply and collection section 43, and the method may be selected as appropriate.

Furthermore, in this embodiment, two sets of movable members are provided in each banknote storage section to press the banknotes in the banknote storage section to increase the number of stored banknotes. A configuration may also be adopted in which a bulk safe for collecting banknotes from each banknote storage section is provided, and a mechanism for pressing banknotes into the bulk safe is provided. In that case, the bulk safe can be downsized.

As explained above, the present invention provides a temporary accumulation space for temporarily accumulating banknotes on the storage opening side of the banknote storage section for each denomination, and also provides a temporary accumulation space for temporarily accumulating banknotes. At least two sets that separate the banknotes accumulated in the space, and when a transaction is established, take in the banknotes in the temporary accumulation space and combine them with the banknotes in the banknote storage part, and operate to press these banknotes. By providing a movable member in each banknote storage unit, the deposited banknotes that the customer inserts into the banknote receiving unit and which are discriminated by the banknote validating unit are accumulated in the temporary accumulation space according to their denomination, and the banknotes are temporarily stacked according to the customer's instructions. Since the bills are stored in the banknote storage section from the accumulation space or returned to the banknote receiving section from the temporary accumulation space and returned to the customer, the following effects can be obtained.

First, when deposited banknotes accumulated in the temporary accumulation space are stored in the bill storage section upon completion of a transaction, there is no need to pass them through the bill input/reception section or the bill validation section again as in the past. Since the banknotes can be taken directly into the banknote storage section and stored, the transport distance for deposited banknotes is shortened, thereby shortening the processing time and minimizing transport problems such as jamming, skewing, or double feeding of banknotes. This has the effect of making it possible to improve performance by reducing the amount of time required, and to prevent equipment operation from being stopped.

In addition, the bills taken in and stored in the bill storage section are pressed by the movable member and come into close contact with each other, so even if there are many folded or wrinkled bills, the bill does not become bulky. There is also the effect that the number of coins can be increased and interruptions in deposit transactions can be avoided.

Furthermore, since the number of bills that can be stored in the bill storage section increases, it is possible to make the bill storage section smaller, which in turn makes it possible to downsize the device, and to transport the bill storage section by removing it from the housing of the device. It also has the advantage of being easier to handle.
