The present invention was completed by discovering that an aqueous solution obtained by sterilization achieves the above object.

The content of the osmotic pressure adjusting agent is determined as appropriate so that the osmotic pressure of the aqueous solution becomes substantially equivalent to the osmotic pressure of lachrymal fluid. The osmotic pressure of tear fluid is approximately 2
Ranges from 40 to 340 mosm, typically around 270 mosm
~320m05m. Therefore, the osmotic pressure of the aqueous solution for contact lenses of the present invention is also adjusted within this range. If an aqueous solution outside the above range is used, the soft contact lens may expand or contract and the shape of the lens may change. In addition, in the case of non-hydrous soft contact lenses and hard contact lenses, the shape of the lens does not change, but if a contact lens with an aqueous solution attached is worn as it is, it will irritate the eyes.
尚、浸透圧の測定は、氷点法(氷点降下法、凝固点降下

Furthermore, boric acid, which is a mixture of the above compounds and is generally known as a buffering agent.
Borax, sodium phosphate-disodium phosphate, etc. can also be used as an osmotic pressure adjusting agent.

Also from this point of view, a buffer can be used as an osmotic pressure adjusting agent. Furthermore, to adjust the pH, acids such as hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, and citric acid, and alkalis such as sodium hydroxide and sodium citrate can also be used. In addition, from the viewpoint of imparting a stable pH to the aqueous solution for contact lenses of the present invention, it is more preferable to use a buffer as the osmotic pressure adjusting agent.

Examples include gamma rays, X-rays, and electron beams. All of these radiations are effective because they have sterilizing ability, but β rays, γ rays, and electron rays are particularly used practically. For example, for sterilization with gamma rays, cobalt-60 or cesium-137 can be used as a radiation source.

Soft contact lenses manufactured by A Corporation (trade name: Hoya Soft) were immersed and stored for 7 days, and changes in the diameter of the contact lenses were measured, as shown in FIG. From the results in Figure 1, it can be seen that in Examples 1 and 2, there was no change in the lens diameter;
It can be seen that the shape of the lens has not changed at all. On the other hand, regarding Comparative Example 1, it can be seen that the diameter of the lens decreases over time and the shape of the lens changes. moreover,
When the lens of Comparative Example 1 was worn after immersion storage, the feeling of wearing the lens deteriorated.
