<Conventional Technology> At spent nuclear fuel reprocessing plants, spent nuclear fuel is sheared into pieces of about 5 cm and then sent to a melting tank where they are melted. Conventionally, a device for shearing nuclear fuel has been used to shear a nuclear fuel assembly 1 which is driven vertically to bundle a plurality of spent nuclear fuel rods, as shown in Fig. 2a.
1 to the shearing device main body 12;
A movable shearing blade 14 that is provided close to the gear 13 and is driven up and down, and a shearing device main body 1
2 and the receiving blade 15 fixedly installed on the nuclear fuel assembly 11
It has a pusher 16 that sends out the material forward.
In the shearing operation, first, as shown in FIG. 2b, the nuclear fuel assembly 11 is pushed forward by a predetermined amount using the pusher 16. Next, as shown in FIG. 2c, the gear 13 is lowered to press and fix the nuclear fuel assembly 11, and as shown in FIG. The tip of the nuclear fuel assembly 11 is sheared by the cooperation of the two. here,
The sheared small pieces of nuclear fuel 11a fall into the melting tank arranged below. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 2e, the gear 13 and the movable shearing blade 14 are retracted upward, and then, as shown in FIG. The operation of pressing with the movable shearing blade 14 and shearing with the movable shearing blade 14 is repeated.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> However, in the conventional shearing device, in the states shown in FIG. It becomes a state. That is, conventionally, when the pusher 16 was operated to send the nuclear fuel assembly 11 forward, the gear 13 had to be retracted upward, so that the shearing work progressed and the remaining length of the nuclear fuel assembly 11 was reduced. When the fuel assembly 1 is pushed out with the pusher 16 when it becomes short,
There was a problem in that the material 1 would fall from the shearing device for a long time before it was sheared. If a nuclear fuel rod longer than a predetermined length falls, it may cause problems such as clogging the path to the melting tank or reducing the melting rate in the melting tank.

<Means for Solving the Problems> The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems in the conventional shearing device for nuclear fuel assemblies, and prevents the nuclear fuel assemblies from becoming free during the shearing operation. It is an object of the present invention to provide a nuclear fuel assembly shearing device which prevents the shearing of nuclear fuel assemblies and thereby makes it possible to shear nuclear fuel assemblies to the end.

<Operation> The pair of gripping gears grips the nuclear fuel assembly and rotates in this state, thereby sending the nuclear fuel assembly forward while being restrained. The nuclear fuel assembly delivered by a predetermined amount by the gripping gear is sheared by a movable shearing blade and a receiving blade.

As shown in FIG. 1, the shearing device main body 12 facing the entrance of the space that receives the nuclear fuel assemblies 11, such as a melting tank, has a pair of gripping gears that face each other vertically and sandwich the nuclear fuel assemblies 11 to be sheared. 17a, 17b
is placed. The gripping gears 17a and 17b are attached so that they can be approached and separated from each other, and the pressing mechanism 1
8, the nuclear fuel assembly 11 is clamped and held by both gripping gears 17a and 17b, and both gripping gears 17a and 17b are simultaneously driven to rotate in mutually opposite directions by a rotational drive mechanism (not shown), thereby the clamped nuclear fuel assembly 11 is held. It can be sent forward or retracted backwards. Further, a movable shearing blade 14 that is driven up and down is provided close to the gripping gears 17a and 17b, and a receiving blade 15 that performs a shearing action in cooperation with the movable shearing blade 14.
is fixed to the shearing device main body 12.

In this shearing device having such a configuration, the nuclear fuel assembly 11 is held between the gripping gears 17a and 17b, and by rotating the gripping gears 17a and 17b in this state, the nuclear fuel assembly can be sent out while being restrained. The delivered nuclear fuel assembly 11 is sequentially shredded by the movable shearing blade 14 and the receiving blade 15.

<Effects of the Invention> As explained above with reference to an embodiment, according to the present invention, the nuclear fuel assembly can be restrained by a pair of gripping gears and sent out while being restrained, so that the nuclear fuel assembly can be released during shearing work. The assembly does not become free, so the nuclear fuel assembly can be sheared to a predetermined length until the end, and unsheared long fuel rods can be prevented from falling into the melting tank.
