As the consumable electrode wears down, it is sent out to the workpiece by a delivery roller. A conventional contact jaw has a structure as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes a power supply cable connecting portion, which has a bolt insertion hole 2 and has an end portion of a cable 4 fixed with a bolt 3. Reference numeral 5 denotes a bolt insertion hole through which the contact jaw 6 is fixed to the hoop guide 7 with a bolt (not shown). Reference numeral 8 denotes a hoop contact surface, which is formed into a concave surface curved into an arc in plan view, as shown in FIG. A hoop pressing member 10 having a pressing surface 9 formed as a convex surface corresponding to a concave surface is installed opposite to this contact surface 8, and this pressing member 10 is supported on the hoop guide 7b side and extends toward the contact surface 8. It is designed to have a pressure effect. The hoop guide 7 includes a portion 7a having a groove corresponding to the cross-sectional shape of the hoop 11 and a lid thereof so as to guide the hoop 11 (e.g., a band-shaped one having a cross section of 50 mm and a thickness of 0.4 mm) along its longitudinal direction. It is formed by a shaped portion 7b.
The hoop 11 guided by the hoop guide 7 from above to below in FIG. It is then sent out towards the part to be welded.

wears out well. As this wear progresses, it becomes impossible to stably supply a welding current, and the hoop 11 also comes to be sent out with its center misaligned with the hoop guide 7 side, resulting in a worsening of the welding condition. For this reason, the Contact Jyo 6 is usually replaced with a new one after 200 to 300 hours of use. contact jyo 6
Worn parts are either discarded or reused by overlaying the worn parts and machining them.

In some cases, there is a problem in that it becomes quite expensive, and even in the case of remanufacturing by overlay welding, there is a problem in that the remanufacturing cost is 70 to 80% of the cost of manufacturing a new one.

If the contact surface of a plate-shaped member is worn out, the contact surface can be formed by additional cutting without overlay welding, and can be reused by using a liner corresponding to the thickness of the thinned member. Note that if you prepare a reusable plate member in which the connecting surface of the plate member on the contact body side is made thicker in the portion corresponding to the liner, there is no need to use a liner. It has a shape in which a convex step 24 remains and four bolt insertion holes 25 are bored in a direction perpendicular to the flat surface 23. Third

A bonding surface 26 is formed that matches the flat surface 23, and its lower edge 26a is connected to the stepped portion 2.
It has a straight edge as positioned by 4. Screw holes 27 are formed in the coupling surface 26 at positions corresponding to the bolt insertion holes 25 of the jaw main body 21, respectively. This plate-like member 22 is made of brass, and is strongly fastened and fixed to the jaw main body 21 with bolts 28 as shown.

When overlaying was performed in the circumferential direction on a roll with an outer diameter of 400 mm at 25 V and a welding speed of 18 cm/min, there was no fluctuation in current or voltage, and a weld bead equivalent to that of the conventional contact JYO 6 could be obtained. After using this contact jyo 20 as it is for a total of 300 hours, the hoop contact surface 8 side of the plate member 22 is revised by 2 mm thickness, and this is used as the jyo main body 21. A separately prepared flat surface 23 is used as described above. When it was attached to a plate-shaped member with a thicker attachment part that was shifted 2 mm closer to the hoop contact surface than the example, and welded under the same conditions as the above test, there was no problem with feeding the hoop, and good results were obtained.

Since the J-Yo main body can be used continuously by replacing the members, the plate-like member becomes a consumable part, and the cost of consumable parts can be reduced. In addition, replacing conventional contact jaws required reattaching the end of the power supply cable, but replacing only the plate member eliminates this need, reducing the time required to replace contact jaws, and welding It also contributes to improving machine utilization.
