Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for the exchange maintenance check by setting a display means in accordance with each slot position where a logical package is stored and turning on and off the display means with instruction of a maintenance diagnostic device. CONSTITUTION:A cage 1 which stores the logical packages 8 contains the light emitting diodes 2 set in accordance with each slot position. A diagnostic control part 6 is connected to each diode 2 and each package 8 via the cables 7. Then each package 8 is diagnosed with a diagnostic control action of the part 6. The diagnostic result of a trouble is sent to each diode 2. Then the diode 2 set at the position of the faulty package 8 is turned on. Thus the faulty package position is easily shown and the time required for the exchange maintenance check is shortened.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the conventional cage described above, after a maintenance diagnosis device performs a failure diagnosis and obtains instructions on which package should be replaced,
Maintenance personnel have to write down the number indicating the location of the package and visually search for the number or other location indication provided on the cage, which poses a problem in that it takes time to perform replacement, maintenance, and inspection.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and reduces the time required for replacement, maintenance and inspection by directly displaying the location of a failed logic package by lighting a display means. In order to achieve this purpose, a display means is provided corresponding to each slot position in which a logic package is stored, and the display means analyzes fault information and determines a faulty logic package. It is connected to a maintenance diagnosis device and is configured to display the location of a failed logic package by turning on and off according to instructions from the maintenance diagnosis device.
