A switching gear 1 is used in this switching device. Tooth-missing portions 1a and 1b are formed at two locations around the switching gear 1. The switching gear 1 is biased clockwise in FIG. 10 by a spring or the like. When the drive gear 2 driven by the motor is facing the missing tooth portion 1a or 1b, the rotational force of the drive gear 2 is not transmitted to the switching gear 1, and the switching gear 1 is pushed slightly from this position. When it rotates, the drive gear 2 and the switching gear 1 mesh with each other and the switching gear 1 is driven.

A switching cam 3 is integrally provided on the surface of the switching gear 1, and this switching cam 3 is in contact with a pressing piece 4a of the head base 4. A magnetic head 6 is fixedly attached to the head base 4, and the head base 4 is urged by a spring 5 in a direction (direction B) into pressure contact with the switching cam 3. When the switching gear 1 rotates clockwise from the state shown in FIG. comes into pressure contact with the tape (not shown) and enters the play state. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 11, a stopper step 7a is provided on the back side of the switching gear 1.
and 7b are formed, and when the lock lever 8 is in the stop position shown in FIG. 10, the pin 8a at the tip of the lock lever 8 is locked against the stopper step 7a by the force of the spring 9. At this time, when the solenoid 10 is energized, the pin 8a separates from the stopper step 7a, and the switching gear 1 rotates. Then switch gear 1 until head base 1 is pushed to the play position.
When the pin 8a rotates, the pin 8a moves to the other stopper step 7b.
The switching gear 1 is locked.

Recent tape players are required to save power. Therefore, it is desirable to reduce the current flowing through the solenoid 10 as well. however,
If the current flowing through the solenoid 10 is reduced, the attractive force of the solenoid 10 will be reduced, so the spring 9 that serves as a load for the solenoid 10 will also have to be weakened. However, when the spring 9 is weakened, the force that presses the pin 8a of the lock lever 8 toward the stopper steps 7a, 7b becomes weaker. Therefore, when the solenoid 10 is in a de-energized state, the lock lever 8 does not rotate reliably, and the pin 8
a may not be engaged with the stopper steps 7a, 7b, or the engagement force with respect to the stopper steps 7a, 7b may become weak, and the switching gear 1 may not be reliably locked.

The present invention consists of a head base mounted with a magnetic head and slidably provided on a chassis, a switching cam that contacts the head base and moves the head base forward and backward relative to the tape, and a switching gear that rotates together with the switching cam. In the switching device for a tape player, the switching gear is formed with a stopper step that is locked by a locking member when the head base reaches a predetermined switching position. The member is urged by a spring in the direction of locking the stopper step, and the locking member is connected to a solenoid mechanism that drives the locking member in a direction away from the stopper step, and the locking member is connected to a solenoid mechanism that drives the locking member in a direction away from the stopper step. The solenoid is characterized by a guide that forcibly directs the lock member toward the stopper step when the switching gear rotates, and is driven by a spring when the solenoid is de-energized. The locking member is guided by a guide on the switching gear and can be reliably locked on the stopper step, thereby preventing malfunction of the locking member even if the spring force is weakened. . In this way, even if the force of the spring is weakened, malfunction does not occur, so the current flowing through the solenoid can be reduced, and power can be saved.

When the recording or playback operation switch is pressed, the solenoid 35 is energized and the plunger 35a is briefly pulled. As a result, the lock lever 32 rotates and the lock pin 34 is removed from the stopper step a. Therefore, the switching gear 25 is unlocked, and the tip 29b of the biasing lever 29 is pushed against the slope 2 of the biasing cam 28.
The switching gear 25 rotates in the G direction due to the rotational force generated by being pressed against the switching gear 8a. When the switching gear 25 rotates slightly from the state shown in FIG. 6A,
The teeth of the switching gear 25 mesh with the drive gear 16, and the switching gear 25 is further driven in the G direction by the drive gear 16.

Since the suction time of the solenoid 35 is short, the lock lever 32 returns immediately by the force of the spring 36. Then, the switching gear 25 is connected to the drive gear 1.
6, the other stopper step b comes into contact with the lock pin 34, and the switching gear 25 is locked again at this position (the state shown in FIG. 7B). When the gear is locked again, the missing tooth portion Y of the switching gear 25 is connected to the drive gear 16.
, the power of the drive gear 16 is no longer transmitted to the switching gear 25. During the period from FIG. 6B to FIG. 7B, the solenoid 35 is once energized and de-energized after a short time. When this excitation is released, the lock lever 32 may not be able to rotate clockwise reliably because the force of the spring 36 is weak or because the plunger 35a cannot return sufficiently due to residual magnetism of the solenoid 35. While the switching gear 25 rotates in the G direction in this manner, the switching cam 27 moves the head base 21 in the A direction via the pressing piece 21a, and in the state shown in FIG. 21a. At this time, the magnetic head 23 comes into contact with the tape and is at the play position. Further, in this state, one of the pinch rollers 17 and 18 is brought into pressure contact with the capstan 12 or 13. Therefore, the tape is held between the pinch roller and the capstan, and is fed by the rotation of the capstan. Further, the tape is wound up by the reel stand 19 or 20, and recorded or reproduced by the magnetic head 23.

(Do not apply rotational force to the At this time, when the queue operation button or review operation button (not shown) is pressed, the solenoid 35 is energized for a short time, the lock lever 32 is rotated, and the lock pin 34 is removed from the stopper step b. Since the switching gear 25 is biased in the G direction, it rotates in the G direction by being unlocked. Since the excitation time of the solenoid 35 is short, the lock lever 32 is returned by the force of the spring 36, and the switching gear 25 is stopped with the stopper step c in contact with the lock pin 34, as shown in FIG. 8B. During the transition from FIG. 7B to FIG. 8B, the lock pin 34 that has come off the stopper step b once contacts the timing protrusion d, and after the solenoid 35 is de-energized, the lock pin 34 moves from the timing protrusion d to the stopper step c. Therefore, the lock pin 34 reliably contacts the stopper step c, and no malfunction occurs. Note that the timing protrusion d is the eighth
If it is shaped as shown by the dotted line in Figure B, and its side surface C is a slope oriented in the direction of the stopper step c, similar to the sliding surface A of the guide protrusion e, then Figures 7B to 8B will be obtained. When the solenoid 35 is de-energized in the meantime, as the switching gear 25 rotates, the side surface C reliably guides the lock pin 34 to the engagement position of the stopper step c.

During the transition from FIG. 7A to the state shown in FIG. 8A, the drive gear 16 remains opposed to the missing tooth portion Y of the switching gear 25. While the lock pin 34 moves from the stopper step b to the stopper step c, the switching gear 25 rotates by a small angle until the β portion of the switching cam 27 comes into contact with the pressing piece 21a. At this time, the head base 21 is moved back slightly in the direction B compared to the play state shown in FIG. 7A, and the magnetic head 23 comes into light contact with the tape. At this time, the pinch rollers 17 or 18 are separated from the capstans 12, 13, and the capstan's feeding force against the tape is lost. In this state, the reel stand 19 or 20 is driven to fast-forward the tape (queue operation) or rewind it (review operation). This queue or review operation is used to locate the beginning of a song.

When stopping the operation from the queue or review state shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B, the stop button is pressed to energize the solenoid 35 once. As a result, the lock pin 34 is removed from the stopper step c. Since the head base 21 biases the switching gear 25 in the G direction via the switching cam 27 by the force of the spring 22, when the lock is released, the switching gear 25 rotates in the G direction. When the switching gear 25 rotates slightly, the β portion of the switching cam 27 is pressed against the pressing piece 21.
a, and as shown in FIG. 9A, the pressing piece 21
A drops to the γ section, and the head base 21 retreats significantly in the B direction. The magnetic head 23 then separates from the tape and enters a stopped state. During this time, the rotation angle of the switching gear 25 is small, and the drive gear 16 remains facing the defective portion Y at the stage shown in FIG. 9A. At this time, as shown in FIG. 9B, the tip 29b of the biasing lever 29 is in pressure contact with the slope 28c of the biasing cam 28, so the switching gear 25 is biased in the G direction according to the angle of the slope 28c. has been done. Therefore, the switching gear 25 immediately rotates from the state shown in FIG. 9A, and the teeth around the switching gear 25 mesh with the drive gear 16. [Effects of the Present Invention] As described above, according to the present invention, the lock member is urged by the spring in the direction in which it is engaged with the stopper step of the switching gear, and the lock member is not engaged with the stopper step. In devices that are equipped with a solenoid to move the locking gear away from the stop position, a guide is provided near the stopper step of the switching gear to forcibly guide the locking member toward the stopper step, so that the spring may become weak or Even if the locking member does not move smoothly due to failure of the plunger to return due to the residual magnetism of the solenoid, the locking member is reliably locked to the stopper step, and the switching gear can be reliably locked. . Therefore, the spring can be made weaker, and the suction force of the solenoid that is loaded by this spring can be made weaker, thereby realizing power saving.
