Claims (1)
の運転速度に応じて形状が設定された第1のカム
と第2のカムとを一体的に連設してなるカムシヤ
フトと、燃焼室の吸気ポートあるいは排気ポート
に設定されてばね手段により常時閉弁付勢されて
いるとともに前記カムにより開弁駆動される弁と
、前記カムに摺接し前記カムの揚程を前記弁に伝
達する第1のロツカーアーム部材と、前記第2の
カムに摺接し前記カムの揚程を前記弁に伝達する
第2のロツカーアーム部材と、前記第1、第2の
両ロツカーアーム部材間の連結・非連結を選択す
る連結機構を備えるとともに、前記連結機構を前
記第1、第2のロツカーアームに対応して設けら
れたガイド孔と、前記ガイド孔のいずれか一方側
に設けられて他方側のガイド孔に出没自在に摺動
するピストンと、前記ピストンに移動する力を付
与する第1の付勢手段と、前記第1、第2のロツ
カーアーム部材が回転自在に取り付けられる支軸
側に形成されたタイミングカムを有するカム手段
と、前記カム手段の制御で前記ピストンの移動通
路内に出没され前記ピストンの前記突き出しを規
制するタイミングピンと、常に前記タイミングピ
ンを前記カムに押圧付勢しておく第2の付勢手段
とで構成したことを特徴とする内燃機関の弁作動
