Abstract

PURPOSE: To suspend a solid lubricant uniformly by connecting a suspending device with a curved nozzle tube and providing a solid lubricant inlet and a carrier fluid inlet in the upper parts of the nozzle tube. CONSTITUTION: The suspending device consists of a solid lubricant receiver 1, a transporting machine 2, a nozzle tube 3, a suspending device 4, a screw conveyor 5, a powerful mixer 6 and an agitator 7. A nozzle tube 3 is formed into a curved tube and a solid lubricant inlet 8 and a carrier liquid inlet 9 are provided in the upper parts of the nozzle tube 3. As a result the solid lubricant containing mainly graphite and a polymer is suspended uniformly. A solid lubricant suspending liquid obtd. by this method and device is used for heat- processing of metal to generate no cutting waste and for example, is used at about 50-300 deg.C for heat-resisting tools such as a shaft, a piston rod and a roll, and is used at about 800-1,200 deg.C for heat resisting workpieces such as a tube, a steel piece and a steel plate.
