Alternatively, a method has been used in which a tubular reinforcing member is fitted inside or outside the end of a hollow material to form a multilayered pipe structure, and then forged. Alternatively, a method is used in which a tubular eyepiece is forged and then welded or riveted to the end of the stabilizer body.

The eyelet section, which is formed by cutting a round pipe into rings with a predetermined eyelet width, is overlapped with the curved section, and the eyeball section and the curved section are welded along the axial direction of the eyeball section so that the end surface of the curved section is sealed. It is a hollow stabilizer.

Then, it is only necessary to press-form the main body made of hollow material to form a flat part and a curved part, and to weld a center part made by cutting an ordinary round pipe to this curved part, cost savings and It can greatly contribute to weight reduction. Since the opening side end face of the curved part is closed as the eyepiece is welded, this welded part can be used as is to prevent moisture from entering the inside of the main body.

Further, at both ends of the main body 1, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a flat part 3 having a width W formed by crushing the end part of the main body 1 in the diametrical direction, and this flat part are provided. A curved portion 4 having a predetermined curvature of 1/D is formed by curving a portion near the tip of 3 in the thickness direction.

In other words, this eye-catching part 5
As shown in FIG.
Welding is carried out along the axial direction of the eyeball portion 5 at certain locations. The length of each welded portion 6 is shorter than the width W of the flat portion 3. Therefore, both ends of the welded part 6 and the center part 5
A non-welded portion having an appropriate length l (approximately 6 to 15% of the width W of the flat portion) is provided between both end faces of the flat portion. By welding in this way, it is possible to prevent welding burrs from protruding near the end face of the eyeball part 5,
High dimensional accuracy and good appearance can be obtained even if deburring work is omitted.

By cutting commercially available round pipes into a predetermined width, a large number of products of stable quality can be manufactured at once. Therefore, compared to the conventional example, the manufacturing process and jigs are significantly simplified, and compared to forging, etc., machining energy is required less, the cost is significantly reduced, and the weight is also reduced. can contribute.
