Abstract

PURPOSE:To release the pain caused by a talking for a long time by mounting a transmitter and a receiver to a handset enclosure, using an attenuation means and manually attenuating the received sound volume. CONSTITUTION:When a user makes talking, a transmission voice is inputted to a transmitter 21, enters from a transmission line 25 to a telephone set 1 and the voice signal is sent to an opposite party. Simultaneously, a side tone is detoured to a reception line 26. Moreover, the transmitter 21 and the receiver 22 are housed in a handset 27 and a button 28 is provided on a recessed side. When the button 28 is depressed, the contact of a switch 23 is opened and when detached, the contact of the switch 23 is closed. When the switch 23 is closed, the side tone of the receiver 22 is attenuated to a proper sound volume through the attenuator. Since the user operates the button 28 and makes the sound proper, the pain caused by the side tone is reduced even with a long time phone call.

In conventional handsets, the amount of sound (sidetone) entering the handset is determined by the volume of the transmitted voice input from the handset and the configuration of the communication circuit within the telephone.

The above-mentioned conventional handset has been commercialized in recent years because the side volume is determined from the transmitting volume by the volume determined by the configuration of the communication circuit inside the telephone, and it is not possible to adjust only the side volume from the outside. Some telephones come with a function to amplify the voice of the person on the other end, which is convenient for people with hearing loss. Because they talk at maximum volume, their own voice (sidetone) is also amplified by the amplifier and is heard into the receiver, which has the disadvantage that it can be painful to talk for long periods of time.

The handset and receiver of the present invention has a handset housing in which a handset and a handset are mounted, and includes a built-in damping means that can manually attenuate the volume of the voice received by the handset.

The first embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is an embodiment in which the received voice can be completely blocked. That is, when the user of the first embodiment speaks, the transmitted voice is input to the transmitter 21 and transmitted through the transmitter line 22.
The voice enters the telephone main body 1 and is transmitted to the other party.

At the same time, the sidetone goes around from the telephone body 1 to the receiving line 26, so when the switch 23 is pressed, the contact of the switch 23 opens (the state shown by the solid line), and the user's voice is transmitted from the telephone receiver 22 to the receiving line 26. It will no longer be done.

When the switch 23 is pressed, the contact point of the switch 23 is opened (the state shown by the solid line), and the sidetone of the user's transmitted voice from the telephone body 1 to the receiver 26 is attenuated by the attenuator 24.
It will be sent to the telephone receiver 22 through the telephone. Therefore, in the receiver 22, the sidetone is attenuated by the attenuator 24 and can be heard.

In FIG. 3, in both the first and second embodiments, the button 28 of the switch 23 is mounted on the concave side of the handset housing 27 so that the handset 2 (or 2a) can be operated with one hand. When button 28 is pressed, switch 2
3 opens, and when the button 28 is released, the switch 23 contacts close 9 [Effects of the Invention] As described above, the present invention is provided with a damping means that can manually attenuate the volume of the voice signal to the receiver. For example, when a hearing-impaired person amplifies the received sound and makes a call, by pressing the switch of the attenuation means when transmitting a call, the received sound can be completely blocked or attenuated to an appropriate volume through an attenuator. Since the sound can be eliminated or attenuated to an appropriate volume, it has the effect of avoiding the pain caused by side sounds.
