The opening is slid into a case consisting of an assembly of upper and lower halves in which a disc recording medium on which a predetermined information signal can be recorded and reproduced is housed, and an opening for exposing at least a part of the disc recording medium is formed. In a disk cartridge equipped with an opening/closing member that opens and closes, the opposing inner surfaces of the upper and lower halves are provided at two locations near both corners on a substantially diagonal line of one of the cases so that the upper and lower halves overlap each other at a prescribed position. A boss part and a boss receiving part that fits into the boss part are provided, and when the boss part of one corner part and the boss receiving part are fitted, the upper and lower halves are shifted from each other using the fitting position as a reference fulcrum. The boss receiving portion of the other corner portion is positioned and fitted to the corresponding boss portion to prevent displacement about the reference fulcrum.
