BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Increasingly, the exterior surfaces of automobiles, other vehicles, vehicles, and various buildings are painted in multiple colors. In such color-coded coatings, polyester, polyolefin or other plastic films, papers laminated with polyethylene or the like are used as masking materials, but these masking materials have poor air permeability. For this reason, for example, when applying a topcoat in two colors to a surface that has been previously coated with an undercoat, a topcoat of a predetermined color is first applied to a part of the surface to be coated, and then a topcoat of this predetermined color is applied. The surface is coated with the masking material, and the outside of the coated area is painted with another predetermined color paint, and after the painting is completed, the painted surface is irradiated with infrared rays, etc.
and so on for 30 minutes at 180°C. When both painted surfaces are heated in this way, the solvent, etc. remaining in the paint film will also vaporize on the top coated surface covered with the masking material, but these vaporized substances will not be released through the masking material. After cooling, it condenses on the inner surface of the masking material and on the top coated surface, causing spots and other stains on the painted surface, making it worthless as a product.

In view of the above-mentioned drawbacks of non-breathable masking materials, this proposal provides a layer on the back side of the masking material to absorb solvents and other volatile substances generated from the painted surface.
The residual solvent and other vaporized substances vaporized by heating etc. are easily adsorbed and fixed on the absorbent layer on the masking material, thereby eliminating contamination of the top coated surface due to condensation.

To explain the present invention with reference to an embodiment, the masking material 1 made of polyester, polyolefin or other plastic film, polyethylene processed paper, vinylidene chloride processed paper, etc., is coated with a solvent or other gas vaporized from the painted surface on the surface facing the painted surface. An absorbent layer 2 for adsorption and retention is formed. The above-mentioned absorbent layer must be able to form a flexible continuous film and adhere closely to the surface of the masking material so that it does not easily peel or fall off, and may be made of, for example, acrylic ester copolymer, polyurethane, low-polymerized polyester, or other elastomers. A material that is compatible with solvents and other vaporized substances generated from the painted surface can be appropriately selected and used. The absorption layer is applied to the required surface of the masking material as a solution or in a molten state to an appropriate thickness, and if necessary, an appropriate primer is applied to the required surface of the masking material, and then It is also possible to form the required absorbent layer. Reference numeral 3 denotes an adhesive layer, which can be formed by applying an adhesive directly to the required edge of the masking material or on the absorbent layer, or by pasting a double-sided adhesive tape.
Alternatively, an adhesive tape may be applied with its adhesive layer extending from the desired edge of the masking material. 4 is release paper.

The present invention has the above-mentioned structure, for example, the undercoat layer 12
When applying the top coat 13 to the surface 11 to be painted, which has been formed with two colors for the upper and lower parts, first apply the top coat 13a to the required lower part with one color on the undercoat layer, and match it to the boundary between the upper and lower parts. apply the masking material to cover the top coat 13a, and apply another color of paint to the top to form the top coat 13b;
Burns the paint using infrared heat. During this heating, even if the solvent remaining in the coating layer evaporates from the top coat 13a covered with the masking material, it is absorbed and fixed by the absorption layer of the masking material, and the gap between the coating surface and the masking material is Since there is no vaporized gas or the like in the space 14, the vaporized gas will not condense on the painted surface or the inner surface of the masking material after heating is stopped, and no spots or other stains will be produced on the painted surface. Furthermore, the structure is simple and construction is extremely easy, and it can be used in automobiles, other vehicles, and other vehicles.
Screens of various buildings, computers, televisions, etc.
It is highly effective when used for painting electrical equipment such as cases of video equipment.
