4 and 5 are a vertical cross-sectional view and a partially enlarged cross-sectional view showing an example of a conventional air conditioner, in which 1 is a main body casing, consisting of a front panel 2 and a rear casing 3, 4 is a filter guide, An air filter 5 is installed between this and the front panel 2. The air filter 5 is provided with a pair of chevron-shaped convex portions 6, and the lower end of the suction port 7 of the front panel 2 is provided with an L-shaped portion 8. When the air filter 5 is housed in the front panel 2, the L-shaped portion 8 is located immediately below the chevron-shaped convex portion 6 of the air filter 5.

In the conventional air conditioner as described above, the L-shaped portion 8 of the front panel 2 is designed to prevent the influence of heat from the outside while the air conditioner is operating, both in terms of position and structure. It is easily susceptible to damage and deformation. Therefore, when heat is applied to this L-shaped part 8, it bends toward the outside opposite to the heat exchanger 10 side, and the pair of chevron-shaped protrusions 6 provided at the lower part of the air filter 5 catch on the L-shaped part 8. This has a major drawback in that the air filter 5 easily falls off from the front panel 2 when a strong force is applied from the outside. Furthermore, it also has the disadvantage that it generates chattering noise because it is not installed stably.

The air conditioner according to this invention has a receiving rib on the fixed side on the upper part of the filter guide so as to sandwich the air filter from both sides, and is located inside the receiving rib with respect to the air filter and has a spring effect. A filter holder consisting of a receiving rib on a fixed side and a presser rib on a movable side facing the opposite suction port side is provided, and the upper frame of the air filter is inserted into the filter holder to hold the air filter. This is what I did.

In this invention, the presser rib on the movable side of the filter holder provided on the filter guide has a spring effect, and is also positioned inside the receiving rib on the fixed side with respect to the filter, and is placed opposite to the receiving rib on the fixed side. Since it faces toward the suction port, the upper frame of the air filter is reliably held down by the filter holder, thereby preventing the air filter from falling and chattering noise.

Figures 1 to 3 are views showing an embodiment of this invention. Figure 1 is a perspective view of the filter guide, Figure 2 is a partial perspective view of the front panel of the air conditioner seen from the back side, and Figure 3 is a perspective view of the filter guide. The figure is a cross-sectional view of the air filter storage section. In these figures, the same reference numerals as in FIGS. 4 and 5 indicate the same parts, and 41 is a filter guide according to this invention, and this filter guide 41
A pair of filter holders 42 are provided on the upper part of the filter. This filter holder 42 consists of a receiving rib 42a on the fixed side and a holding rib 42b on the movable side which has a spring effect due to its own elasticity or a leaf spring (not shown), and the both ends of the upper frame of the air filter 5 are attached to the ribs. It is designed to be held between 42a and 42b, respectively. The presser rib 42b is the first one with respect to the receiving rib 42a.
As shown in the figure, it is formed to be on the outside, that is, to be on the inside with respect to the air filter 5 when installed. Moreover, the holding rib 42b faces the suction port side opposite to the receiving rib 42a. The filter holders 42 are provided in correspondence with the number of air filters 5, and are attached so as to sandwich the support member 2a from both sides as shown in FIG. As can be seen from FIG. 3, the presser rib 42b
Since the receiving rib 42a is located inside the air filter 5, the pressed portion of the air filter 5 is curved toward the intake port side. Therefore, when the air conditioner is in operation, when outside air is sucked in through the intake port 7 (see FIG. 4), the air filter 5 tends to curve in the opposite direction to that shown in FIG. 42b, so that the air filter 5 will not come off.

As explained above, this idea consists of a receiving rib on the fixed side, which is located inside the air filter from this receiving rib, has a spring effect, and faces the suction port in the opposite direction to the receiving rib on the fixed side. A filter holder consisting of a presser rib on the movable side is provided at the top of the filter guide, and this filter holder clamps both sides of the upper frame of the air filter, so that the pressed part of the air filter faces the intake port side. becomes curved and therefore
Since the air filter tries to curve in the opposite direction due to the intake of outside air, it is firmly clamped, so even if the front panel is slightly deformed due to the operation of the air conditioner or other external heat, the air filter will not fall out from the front panel. This has the great effect of eliminating the chattering sound of the air filter caused by vibrations during operation, and allowing it to be securely stored and fixed in the front panel. In addition, the operation for storing it is exactly the same as before, and it has the advantage of being able to be installed with a very simple operation of simply inserting the air filter into the front panel.
