Shoelaces are tied with strong tension and are required to have strong tensile strength, and since they are used even in rainy weather, they are required to be rot resistant and abrasion resistant.

For this reason, synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester are used for shoelaces.

Synthetic fibers such as nylon and polyester used for shoelaces do not swell upon moisture absorption and always maintain a constant tension even in rainy weather.

However, among shoe upholstery materials, leather tends to expand due to moisture absorption during rainy weather, and therefore, although the shoelace itself does not stretch, it gradually loosens and must be re-tied.

In particular, athletic shoes for official outdoor competitions are made of leather, which causes the inconvenience that the shoes tend to come off during rainy matches.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a shoelace that does not require retying because the shoelace becomes even more tense even when the shoe skin material stretches during rainy weather, making it difficult to take off the shoe.

The water-shrinkable synthetic fibers used include polyvinyl alcohol fibers, preferably those having a shrinkage rate of 30% or more when submerged in water, such as non-acetal polyvinyl alcohol fibers.

The structure of the shoelace may be a conventional shoelace such as a twisted string, a braided string, a braided string, or a ribbon-like braided string.

[Example 2] FIG. 2 shows a shoelace 15 with a braided structure, in which a polyvinyl alcohol filament thread 17 with a water shrinkage rate of 45% is straightened at the core of the braid so as to be covered with a nylon filament thread 16. It was made by threading it through and braiding it.

According to the shoelace of the present invention, since the water-shrinkable synthetic fiber is a continuous filament yarn from one end of the shoelace to the other, the shoelace absorbs moisture and contracts during rainy weather, shortening the entire shoelace.

In particular, the shoelace 11 shown in FIG. 2 is made so that water-shrinkable thread (polyvinyl alcohol thread) is covered with thread (nylon thread) used in conventional shoelaces. The outer nylon thread protects the inner polyvinyl alcohol thread from abrasion, while the inner polyvinyl alcohol thread absorbs moisture and contracts in the length direction and expands at the same time. The diameter is also increased, thereby causing the braided outer skin to contract, with the result that the inner polyvinyl alcohol threads are positioned to encourage the contraction of the nylon threads.

Therefore, in the shoelace of the present invention, the water-shrinkable fibers absorb moisture and expand during rainy weather, making the knot even harder and harder to unravel. Also, since the shoelace absorbs moisture and contracts, it does not stick to the foot even if the shoe outer material absorbs moisture and swells. To tighten the shoelaces, thereby making it difficult for the shoes to come off and eliminating the need to retighten the shoelaces.

As described above, the shoelace of the present invention is extremely convenient for use in athletic shoes for outdoor sports.
