ーターハンマーの軸1′と、チエンギヤー3,4
の間にはチエン5,6が連結されていて、エンジ
ンの回転によつてローターハンマー軸が回転し、
これによつて遠心クラツチ2のシユー部2′が外
方に拡がつてクラツチを繋ぎ、これによつて各ギ
ヤー3,4が回動して材料供給の送りロール8が
回動する。

場合には、ローターハンマー1のトルクが増大し
てエンジンに負荷がかかり軸1′の速度が低下す
る。このような状態になると軸1′の先端に取り
付けられている遠心クラツチが切れてチエン5お
よび6の伝達が停止され、これによつて送りロー
ル8の回動も停止する。しかしながらこのような
状態の中でもローターハンマー1はそのまま回転
を続けるので、順次樹木の粉砕排出が行われて暫
時にして粉砕が進みエンジンの負荷が軽くなると
回転速度が増大して遠心クラツチ2が繋ぎ送りロ
ール8が作動して給材が行われ、このような作動
を繰返しながら樹木が粉砕し続けるものである。
そしてこの各ギヤー3,4は軸1′を中心として
アーム7に揺動自在に取り付られているから送り
ロール8側の給材量が多くなつたときにはアーム
7はバネ9の伸びによつて上方に回動して開口部
を拡大し、給材の量が少くなつた場合にはバネ9
の縮少によつて元の位置に戻る如くなつている。

作業が行えるという画期的な実用効果を奏するも
のである。
