Abstract

PURPOSE:To use much gas with one card without requiring a mechanically complicated structure by reading the purchased quantity of gas recorded on a prepaid card by a controller and setting it to a consumed quantity counter in a CPU of a gas meter. CONSTITUTION:A prepaid card 7 on which the purchased quantity of gas is recorded is applied to a card read part 8 of a controller 10 to read the purchased quantity of gas, and it is transmitted from a communication part 9 of the controller 10 to a communication part 5 of a gas meter 6 through two electric wires 11. The communication part 5 of the gas meter 6 receives it to set the purchased quantity of gas as the initial value to a consumed quantity counter 2 in a CPU 3. When a user uses gas, a flow rate signal is outputted from a flow rate transmitter 1 and the consumed quantity counter 2 is counted down; and when its value reaches zero, a breaking valve 4 is closed by the signal from the CPU to stop the gas. Thus, the structure is simplified and much gas is used with one prepaid card.

取るカード読み込み部8と、読み取った購入ガス量を前
記ガスメータに伝送して前記使用量カウンタ2に設定す
る通信部9を備えたコントローラ10と、ガスメータ6
とコントローラIOを接続する2本の電線11とを設け
たことを特徴とするものである。
