In recent years, techniques for obtaining other energy such as thermal energy, electrical energy, and chemical energy using solar energy have been developed and are being put into practical use in various fields. Single crystals such as silicon and oxides such as cesium oxide are known as such materials, but materials with high conversion efficiency are
It is expensive, lacks corrosion resistance, and cannot withstand long-term use. On the other hand, materials that are inexpensive and have good corrosion resistance generally have high resistance and absorb light at short wavelengths, so they must be used in a wavelength range where the energy distribution of light is low, which avoids lower efficiency. do not have. In addition, a device mainly made of a sintered body is also known, but this has the drawback of low responsiveness.

As a result of various research into materials with light conversion function, the present inventors have found that α-Fe 2 O 3 is used as a base material,
Based on this knowledge, it was discovered that a light conversion functional material with good responsiveness could be obtained by adding an n-type semiconductor to this by adding at least one oxide of titanium and tin as a solid solution, and sintering it. As a result, the present invention was completed.
