A surgical light used in dentistry, etc. has a structure in which a small light bulb such as a halogen light bulb is attached to the inside of a roughly rectangular glass reflector that transmits heat rays and reflects visible light, which is generally called a cold mirror. There are many things.

On the other hand, in dentistry, a lighting device for transparently observing X-ray photographic film, a so-called film viewer, is often required, but such lighting device is usually configured separately from the surgical light. It was hot. For example, a window may be provided in the wall of the main body of the treatment machine, and the window may be covered with a light-transmitting plate, a light source may be placed inside the light-transmitting plate, and a film support may be provided outside to form a film viewer. Alternatively, a special box-shaped film viewer was often prepared separately from the treatment machine itself. However, a treatment machine in which a film viewer is incorporated into a part of the main body has a complicated structure and requires time and effort to assemble, resulting in high costs. Since the film viewer is fixedly installed on the main body of the treatment machine, it is not only impossible for the doctor to observe it from any direction, but also the film must be removed when showing the film to the patient, which is inconvenient. . Since the light source is housed inside the main body of the treatment machine, there are drawbacks such as the fact that heat tends to accumulate inside the main body of the treatment machine when the light source is turned on, which tends to cause early disconnection of the light source. Furthermore, preparing a dedicated film viewer not only increases costs but also has the drawback of reducing the space available for installing equipment.

In this invention, surgical lights used in dentistry, etc. are generally equipped with a reflector that transmits heat rays and reflects only visible light, so even if a film is installed in front of the reflector, there will be no damage caused by heat. In view of the fact that there are almost no such lights, and that the irradiation direction of the surgical light can be changed freely, we decided to use a part of the surgical light for film viewing.

FIG. 1 is a plan view showing a case where an irradiated surface is irradiated using the surgical light according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a side view of the same. In these figures, reference numeral 1 denotes a substantially rectangular reflecting mirror whose reflecting surface is curved in the longitudinal and lateral directions. The reflecting mirror 1 is generally made of glass, and a multilayer interference film that transmits heat rays and reflects visible rays is deposited on its surface. Reference numeral 2 denotes a light source installed in front of the reflecting mirror 1, and a small light bulb such as a halogen light bulb is used, for example. 3 is a shielding body for shielding direct light from the light source 2; The reflecting mirror 1, as shown in FIG.
With approximately the center in the longitudinal direction as a boundary, either the left or right half (the left half in the figure) is configured as a shadowless reflective surface 1a, and the remaining half is configured as a non-shadowless reflective surface 1b. The shadowless reflective surface 1a is formed, for example, with a large number of protrusions or grooves extending in the transverse direction of the reflecting mirror 1, and is configured to diffusely reflect the light from the light source 2, as shown in FIG. There is. In addition, the non-shadow reflecting surface 1b is formed with a mirror surface, for example, and as shown in FIG.
It is configured to reflect light from the mirror in approximately parallel fashion. The range or spread of irradiation (this is referred to as an irradiation field) formed on the irradiated surface 4 by the reflected light reflected by the shadowless reflective surface 1a and the non-shadow reflective surface 1b has the following relationship. It is configured so that

That is, as shown in FIG.
The irradiation field A'-A' of the reflected light from the non-shadow reflecting surface 1b is included in the irradiation field A-A of the reflected light from a. In this case, the reflected light from both of the reflecting surfaces when viewed from the side surface of the reflecting mirror 1 is as shown in FIG. Reference numeral 5 denotes a translucent cover made of glass, plastic, etc., which is installed in front of the reflecting mirror 1 and the light source 2 so as to cover the shadowless reflective surface 1a and the non-shadowless reflective surface 1b. The installation position of this translucent cover 5 is as shown in FIG.
The positions are selected so that the irradiation fields on the surface of the translucent cover 5 of the reflected light from the non-shadow reflective surface 1b and the non-shadow reflecting surface 1b do not overlap with each other. The light-transmitting cover 5 is configured such that a film 6 can be placed in a portion where a field of reflected light from the non-shadow reflecting surface 1b is formed.

In the surgical light having such a configuration, when the film 6 is installed in the part of the translucent cover 5 installed in front of the reflector 1 and the light source 2 that covers the non-shadow reflective surface 1b, the non-shadow reflective surface The reflected light from 1b is blocked, but the reflected light from the shadowless reflective surface 1a is blocked by the first
As shown in the figure, the light reaches the irradiated surface without any hindrance, so its function as a surgical light is not impaired. Note that the translucent cover 5 usually also functions as a protector for the reflecting mirror.

In this invention, a translucent cover is installed in front of the reflector that transmits heat rays and reflects only visible rays, which constitutes the surgical light, and a part of the cover supports the film, so that the film is exposed to heat. It won't hurt anything. Further, since the direction of the surgical light can be adjusted freely, it is not only convenient for the doctor to see through the film, but also allows the doctor to explain the treatment area, treatment method, etc. while showing the film to the patient if necessary.
In particular, one of the features of the present invention is that illumination of the affected area, etc. and transparent observation of the film can be performed alternately without having to attach and detach the film each time. Furthermore, since it has fewer parts and a simpler structure than when a film viewer is installed in the treatment machine itself, it is not only economical and easy to assemble, but also prevents the light source from breaking out prematurely due to the heat generated when the light source is turned on. Nothing. Of course, compared to the case where a dedicated film viewer is provided, there is no need for a smaller space for installing equipment.
