【発明の詳細な説明】
デニム織物
本発明は、実質的にオーブン・エンド法で紡がれ染色された木綿糸であるたて糸
とよこ糸を折り込んで作られたデニム織物に関する。。
デニム織物とは、インジゴで染めたたて糸を有する織物の種類である。元々のデ
ニムの意味は、目の粗い水火用の生地を表すものとして３／１のあや織りで作ら
れたドリル織り織物であり、今日、インジゴで染めたたて糸を使用して２／１や
１／１のあや織りとしたものもある。
オテブン・エンド法で紡がれた糸は“ＯＥ−系”とも称される。
又、デニム織物を作るために、リングスピン法で作られた木綿による糸が用いら
れることもある。この糸では、このスピン法で作られた糸の特性に基づいて、買
い手に好まれる柔らかな手触りや、既製品に対するジーンメ用品においては普通
の洗い（ストーン−ウォッシュ）により生地をしわにすることや、目の粗い組織
（よれよれの風合い）を得ることが可能である。
リングスピンされた糸（リング糸）を使用する場合、この糸が高価であることと
不均質であることから、デニム織物の製造コストが比較的高いものとなり、結果
としてこの織物は１００％木綿製の○Ｅ−系からほとんど作られている。ＯＥ−
系は使用されたスピン法に基づき均一性を存している。このことから一様な織物
が作り上げられる。これは、他の異なる織物では利点として評価される特性であ
るが、デニム織物の場合、欠点となる。なぜなら、これは比較的硬い織り目を作
り出すし、その他、ジーンズ用品の場合ユーザによって行なわれるしわや洗いに
よるよれよれの感じが織物組織の均質性のため、うまくできないからである。
このことから本発明の課題は、柔らかくてしなやかな手触りを有するとともにい
わゆる“ストーン−ウォッシュ”により生地表面が所定のよれよれの感じや、し
わくちゃな感じを作り出すことができる織物を経済的に且つ失敗なく作ることで
ある。
この課題は、本発明によれば、柔らかい手ざわりと生地の洗いによる外観上の生
地のしわくちゃ感を得るために少なくともたて糸として用いられた糸が主に木綿
−ビスコース混合糸であり、個々の糸のビスコース繊維の重量成分が１５％〜６
６％であることにより解決することビスコース繊維の重量％比は１５〜６６％重
量となっている。好ましくは、このＯＥ−法で紡がれた木綿／ビスコース混合糸
は織り過程において織物組織に用いられる。
しなやかさや手触りの良さを重視する場合、ビスコース混合体を備えた糸をよこ
糸方向に重点的に使用することが好ましい。
これまでの木綿１００％の生地に比べて優れているしなやかさは、木綿に比べて
ビスコース繊維が長いスターベルを有していることから得られる。同時に小さい
番手（小さい繊維値）におけるより大きいスターペル長さにより断面積光たりの
繊維数が大きくなり、全体の糸織りが強く平行化される。又、ＯＥ−系の場合普
通である“腹織り” （繊維の膨らみ）が大変小さくなる。その他、ビスコース
繊維は、その製造法に基づき、自然に洗われた木綿より優れたしなやかさが得ら
れる。
出来上がった織物のよれよれ感やたてしわ感は、ビスコースと木綿の異なる色情
製によっても更に付は加えられる。これは、染色工程においてビスコース繊維と
木綿繊維の異なる色付けである。又、これに続く完全に仕立てられた製品の洗い
工程において生じる脱色も色々に仕上げることができる。個々の糸の織り表面の
ところのに種々生じている木綿繊維やビスコース繊維の繊維割合がこの織物のた
てしわ感を作り出すが、これは、リング糸第１図と第２図として添付された写真
の拡大は本発明による織物の織り表面を示している。第１図は、洗い工程の前の
本発明による織物の一部であり、第２図は洗い工程の後での本発明による織物の
一部である。
織り表面の図解により、この織物では木綿／ビスコース混合体からなる糸をたて
糸として使用されていることがわかる。このたて糸としての混合糸の使用は、ビ
スコース繊維と木綿繊維の異なる色情製とともに、異なった色付けを施された、
ここでは明暗で示されているそれぞれの繊維の表面成分のところで明かにこの織
物に要望されているたてしわ感を生みだしている。これは、特に、第１図の織物
の洗い工程後を示している第２図の表面組織内で明かにされている。ここでは、
暗く色付けられた領域２に比べ明るく色付けされた領域１が取り去られている。

Claims (2)
- １．実質的にオープン・エンド法で紡がれ染色された木綿糸であるたて糸とよこ 糸を折り込んで作られたデニム織物において、柔らかい手ざわりと生地の洗いに よる外後観上の生地のしわくちゃ感を得るために少なくともたて糸として用いら れた糸が主に木綿−ビスコース混合糸であり、個々の糸のビスコース繊維の重量 成分が１５％〜６６％であることを特徴とするデニム織物。
- ２．よこ糸も主に木綿−ビスコース混合糸であり、個々の糸のビスコース繊維の 重量成分が１５％〜６６％であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第１項に記載のデ ニム織物。
