の如き防湿ケーブルの分岐接続に適した接続工法

端(接続側)に一定幅のブラツシング部1を設
け、該部をよく拭き取り清浄ならしめた後、保護
テープ(図示せず)を巻いて一時的に塵埃、油
脂、グリース等の影響を受けていないように保護
し、次にケーブル心線2をクリツプ(図示せず)
接続し、ケーブル接続側のシース端部には主ケー
ブルC1から分岐ケーブルC2に亘りこれらの包有

心線接続部間に瀰満するようにして完全に防湿せ
しめ、ついで前記したブラツシング部1上の保護
テープを除去するとともに、ケーブル接続部上に
シーリングテープ巻等を必要により施し、外部に
ケーブル接続部全体を包被する加熱収縮性の被覆
材例えば熱収縮性ポリエチレンシート7を熱収縮
させて接続を完了するものである。しかるに従来
は前述のダム部3を形成するに際し、第2図に示
すようにシーリングテープ4を主ケーブルC1及
び分岐ケーブルC2の周囲に巻くとともに両ケー
ブルの間にもシーリングテープを介在させてダム
部3を構成していたので両ケーブルの間に微少な
空隙が発生するばかりでなく、その表面層も凹凸
が激しいためにプラスチツクフイルム4の端部の
取付け部分にも隙間が生じ、これらの隙間から、
防水混和物が外部に流出し、接続部の防水性を損
