ユレートラツプの上流側より高温ガスを供給して
前記パテイキユレートを焼却し前記パテイキユレ
ートラツプの再生処理を行う排気後処理手段を備
えた内燃機関における制動エネルギー回収装置で
あつて、前記内燃機関が制動状態にあるときのエ
ネルギーを電気的に取り出す手段と、前記取り出
し手段で得られた電気が供給され水から水素ガス
と酸素ガスとを生成する電気分解槽と、前記電気
分解で生成された水素ガスと酸素ガスを個々に貯
えておくタンクと、前記タンク内に貯えられた水
素ガスと酸素ガスの少なくとも一方を前記排気路
中で前記パテイキユレートラツプの上流側に供給
するコントローラと、前記供給されたガスを前記
パテイキユレートラツプの上流側で燃焼させる燃
焼手段とを備えたことを特徴とする制動エネルギ
