Conventionally, chair leg structures have been limited to those made of metal in order to satisfy the strength required for chair legs. However, such metal legs are not only heavy, have many parts, and require finishing processes such as painting, making the manufacturing process complicated and costly, as well as being limited in terms of design. Ta. Therefore, studies have been conducted to reduce weight by molding synthetic resin into the chair legs, and to reduce costs by freeing up designs and streamlining the manufacturing process. In order to satisfy the required strength, the legs must be made thick, making them extremely large and requiring a large amount of resin material. The elongated hole needs to have the same diameter in the upper and lower parts in order to support the column without wobbling. However, it is practically difficult to form a molded product with vertically long holes without a draft angle, so it is conceivable to try adding a draft angle, but in that case, the thickness of the support also needs to be considered. The problem is that it has to be tapered. For example, as legs of a chair made of synthetic resin, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 44-2499 discloses that a bearing part that obstructs the leg axis and each leg body protruding radially from the upper end of the bearing part are made of plastic material at one end. A radially stable leg for a single-legged chair has been disclosed, but even in this invention, only the part below the bearing part is made of plastic, and the leg shaft (corresponding to the pillar) support part is made of plastic. There is no mention of this, and the bearings and stabilizing legs cannot meet the required strength with plastic materials alone, so they are constructed using reinforcing materials such as core metal and steel frames, and the strength of the legs depends on those metal materials. That's what I'm doing.

The fitting recesses 14 and the fitting protrusions 15 provided at corresponding positions on the abutment surfaces of the legs 4' and 4' can be fitted into one body, and the supporting cylinder part 2 of the leg 1 is attached to the upper end surface. Disc-shaped top plate portion 1 having a larger shape than the upper end portion
6, and the lower surface of the top plate portion 16 has an outer surface having the same shape as the reduced diameter shape of the inner surface of the support tube portion 2 and decreasing in diameter downward so that it can fit into the support tube portion 2 of the leg body 1. A cylindrical support part 7 having a shape and an interior thereof penetrates the top plate part 16 and forms a space for supporting a chair support 17 having the same diameter on the top and bottom to form a support space 18, and the cylindrical support part On the lower surface of the top plate part 16 at the upper end of 7, there is a protrusion 19 having a substantially rectangular cross section formed by abutting protrusions 19', 19' provided on both members 4', 4' at the joint position of both members 4', 4'. In addition, at other positions, the same-shaped protrusion 19 can be fitted alone into the opening groove 10 on the upper part of the support cylinder part 2, and when fitted into the opening groove 10, the tip will be connected to the outer surface of the annular step part 9. and a locking groove 11 having the same shape as the locking groove 11 formed on the outer surface of the stepped portion 9 is provided at the tip of the protrusion 19 at a position corresponding to the locking groove 11 formed on the outer surface of the stepped portion 9 when the protrusion 19 is fitted into the opening groove 10. The cylindrical support part 7 formed by opposing the parts 4' is inserted,
The protrusion 19 of the top cap 4 is inserted into the opening groove 1 of the support tube 2.
0 is fitted. In this state, sky cap 4
The lower surface of the four top plate parts 16 is locked to the upper end of the support cylinder part 2, and the shape of the internal space 5 of the support cylinder part 2 and the external shape of the cylindrical support part 7 of the top cap 4 are the same, so that the legs 1 and the top cap are connected to each other. The diameter of the fitted contact surface between the leg 1 and the top cap 4 is reduced downward so that the top cap 4 is tightly fitted, so that the downward movement of the top cap 4 is completely regulated. The fitted state of the top cap 4 and the top cap 4 is strong without play, and furthermore, the outer surface of the annular step 9 on the upper part of the support tube 2 and the tip of the protrusion 19 of the top cap 4 form a continuous outer peripheral surface, and The locking groove 11 and the fitting groove 20 formed respectively form a horizontal annular groove, and an elastic annular member 8 having an inner diameter that can be externally fitted into the groove, for example, a metal C.
By fitting a ring or a rubber ring or the like to prevent the top cap 4 from coming off upward from the support tube 2, the top cap 4 and the legs 1 can be assembled together and the legs of the chair can be fixed. It composes.

Since the column support space 18 formed by 4' has the same diameter on the top and bottom, the column 17 has the same diameter as the column support space 18.
Since the column is supported by a large contact surface in the vertical direction, the column is supported securely without wobbling. In addition, in this embodiment, the support cylinder portion 2
A downward through hole 12 is formed in the bottom surface 13 of the lower end,
When a gas cylinder is used as the support 17,
The lower end of the rod 23 of the gas cylinder 17 can be fixed. Note that the top cap 4 does not necessarily need to be composed of two members as in this embodiment, and since the internal space may be shorter than that of the support tube 2, it can be molded with resin even if the top and bottom have the same diameter. Although it may be formed as an integral piece, molding with resin is easier if it is formed into two members as described above.

Therefore, it is extremely easy to attach and detach, and by replacing only the top cap 4 with another, it can also be used as the leg of a chair with a different shape of the seat support 17, making it extremely versatile as each member can be replaced. It is something. Note that 22 in the figure is a leg cover.

ある。 As described above, in the chair leg structure according to the present invention, the legs and the top cap are molded as separate members, and the internal space of the support tube of the leg, which serves as the support for the column, is tapered downward. The radial shape facilitates molding as a draft angle during molding with synthetic resin, and an internal space is formed in the upper part of the leg body as a column support space with the same diameter above and below, increasing the contact area with the column. By fitting the top cap molded with synthetic resin, it satisfies the strength required for the legs and can support the pillars reliably without wobbling, making the legs of the chair lighter. In terms of design as well, it is possible to have freedom in design without being subject to the restrictions that are imposed when manufacturing by processing metal. Furthermore, since the inside of the support tube can be formed as a larger space than the pillar shape, the amount of resin material required for molding the legs can be reduced, and since the support tube and leg foot are integrally molded, the number of parts and manufacturing process can be reduced. This makes it possible to reduce costs by reducing

The top and bottom are formed to have the same diameter to constitute a cylindrical support part, and the upper outer periphery of the cylindrical support part has a height that fits into the opening groove of the leg support cylinder part and that the tip reaches the outer surface of the opening groove. a support column support top cap having a shape and a protrusion with a fitting groove recessed at a position corresponding to the locking groove on the outer surface side of the tip; It is composed of a locking groove on the leg body and a fitting groove on the top cap, which are formed when the cylindrical support part is fitted and the protrusion of the cylindrical support part is fitted into the opening groove of the support cylinder part. It is characterized by an elastic annular member having an inner diameter that can be fitted externally into an annular groove formed in the upper and lower legs. By forming the support space in the same way as the tapered shape, and by forming the pillar support space inside the top cap to have the same diameter on the top and bottom, it is possible to support the pillar without wobbling, and it is possible to mold it with synthetic resin. By integrally molding the cylindrical part and the legs and feet with synthetic resin, it is possible to reduce weight and improve strength, as well as reduce the number of parts and processes, streamlining the manufacturing process and reducing costs. The present invention realizes freedom of design through synthetic resin molding, and provides a versatile chair leg structure that can be used with different support sizes by simply replacing the top cap.
