Abstract

PURPOSE:To dispense with wiring of a control line between a receiver and a transmitter by detecting the presence of an input signal also at the transmitter so as not to need a control signal from the receiver to the transmitter. CONSTITUTION:A receiver 1 and a reception section 11 receive an input signal, an AGC section 12 applies automatic gain control, the reduction in the received input electric field is detected by an AGC control voltage and when the input electric field is largely reduced, a signal limit section 13 inhibits the output to a transmitter 2. A detector DET of a signal detection section 21 of the transmitter 2 detects the input signal from the receiver 1, a voltage comparator COMP detects the presence of the input signal from the detection output and as soon as the receiver 1 interrupts its output, a squelch oscillation section 22 is activated and a transmission section 23 sends a non-modulation wave. Thus, the squelch oscillation section 22 is controlled without receiving a squelch control signal from the receiver 1, then no wiring of a control line is required between the transmitter 2 and the receiver 1.

First, the receiver [a] receives a signal at the receiving section 11, and controls the automatic gain control section (AGC section) based on the strength of the received signal.
12 performs automatic gain control, and a decrease in the received input electric field strength is detected using the AGC control voltage. In order to prevent the noise generated in the receiver from being transmitted from the transmitter when the receiving input electric field decreases, the squelch oscillator 22 of the transmitter 2a is activated by the squelch control signal detected by the AGC control voltage n:. is activated, and the transmitter 23 sends out an unmodulated wave.

[A Thousand Steps to Solve the Problems] The squelch method invented by Wood consists of a receiver equipped with a signal suppressor that prohibits output when the receiver's level is lower than a predetermined level, and an input signal from this receiver. The transmitter includes a signal detection section that determines the presence or absence of light, and a transmitter that includes a Sgerch oscillation section that operates when the signal detection section determines that there is an input light.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, an input signal is received by a receiving section 11 of a receiver 1, and an A. The GC section 12 performs automatic gain control, detects a drop in the receiving input electric field using the AGC control voltage, and when the human-powered electric field significantly decreases, the noise generated in the receiver is prevented from being sent to the transmitter 2. In order to prevent this, the signal suppressing unit 13 prohibits output to the transmitter 2. Next, the transmitter 2 detects a signal in response to the input signal from the receiver 1 using the detector 1) E'T'' of the signal detection unit 21, and compares the voltage to determine whether there is an input signal from the detection output. The squelch oscillator 22 is activated at the same time as the receiver 1 cuts the output, and the transmitter 2
3 to send out an unmodulated wave.

As described above, according to this embodiment, by providing the signal detection section 21 for detecting the presence or absence of an input signal on the transmitter 2 side of the wireless transmitting/receiving device, the squelch oscillation section can be operated without receiving a squelch control signal from the receiver 1. 22 controls can be performed. Therefore, there is no need to wire a control line between the transmitter and receiver 2.1, and the cost is reduced both in terms of structure and construction.

As explained above, the squelch method of the present invention enables the presence or absence of an input signal to be detected on the transmitter side as well, so there is no need for a control signal from the receiver to the transmitter, and the This eliminates the need for control line wiring between the transmitter and receiver at the station building, and simplifies the structure both economically and structurally. It has a measurable effect.
