しシートを介在してシフト操作可能に球面支持さ
れているシフトレバー装置において、 前記大球形部がシフトレバーのシフト方向と平
行な合せ面によつてシフトレバーと一体の第一球
形部と、シフト方向の動きが前記レバーリテーナ
によつて規制されている第二球形部とに分割され
ているとともに、 前記第一球形部及び第二球形部がそれぞれの合
せ面に沿つて互いに同芯で相対的に回転するよう
に両者を位置決めした軸と、 同じく第一球形部及び第二球形部の合せ面に形
成され、かつシフトレバーのシフト操作に伴つて
第一球形部が第二球形部に対して前記軸回りに相
対的に回転することで相互の噛み合い位置が変化
する凹凸形状のカムと、 前記第二球形部が球面支持されているシートと
前記レバーリテーナとの間に組込まれ、この第二
球形部に対し前記合せ面において所定の押付け荷
重を生じさせる方向の弾性力を与える弾性体とを
