プリンタや複写機に用いられる電子写真装置には、乾式
現像機が広く用いられている。乾式現像機は、磁性粉体
である現像剤を磁石内蔵のマグネットロール等により搬
送させて現像を行う装置である。また、現像剤には文字
や図形を形成するための微細粉末であるトナーが含まれ
ている。このトナーは直径が数〜数十μmと微細、かつ
軽量であるために、現像機の鹿動中に飛散・浮遊して装
置の内部を汚染することが問題となっている。また、こ
のトナー飛散による装置内部の汚染は印刷品質にも悪影
響を及ぼす。このため装置内部に飛散、堆積したトナー
を定期的に清掃することが必要となっている。一方、プ
リンタや複写機では1ページ当りの印刷コストの低減が
重要な課題の1つであり、保守コスト低減のために装置
のメンテナンスフリー化や保守点検周期の拡大が求めら
れている。中でも保守点検周期の短かい現像機周囲のト

くなり、堆積した飛散トナー8aによる印刷汚れが防止
できると共に、トナー遮蔽板11の清掃周期も長くて済
む。また、この反発力の効果によりトナー遮蔽板上1と
感光ドラム2との間隔Gを従来より広げ(lam程度)
でも、従来より飛散トナー8aの機外への飛散防止効果
が向上する。従ってトナー遮蔽板11と感光ドラム2と
