Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to change the optimum detection distance without changing the external shape of a photo coupler by installing a light refracting means on the cover of the photo coupler, and changing said cover. CONSTITUTION:A cover 1 prevents dust from entering into a case and serves as an optical path. Since the cover is not provided with a light refracting means, the optimum detection distance is determined by the fixing angles of a light emitting element 2 and a photo diode 4. The fixing angles are necessary to be increased, when an object 5 to be detected approaches. For changing the optimum detection distance, it is required only to replace the cover 1. When the detection distance is small the refraction angle is made deep, and when the detection distance is large, the light refraction angle is made shallow, thereby obtaining the optimum detection distance.

ばならず、これもホトカプラの外形に影響を及ぼすこと
となる。
