The present invention relates to a deodorizing and dehydrating agent for organic sludge. Organic matter processing factory wastewater (e.g. potato starch wastewater), livestock human waste wastewater, fishmeal bone factory wastewater, human urine,
If organic sludge waste liquid such as sewage is disposed of as it is, it will cause pollution, so it is generally concentrated and dehydrated through chemical treatment and then incinerated or reused as soil or fertilizer. In this case, to concentrate and dehydrate sludge from sludge wastewater, a homopolymer of NN dialkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate,
NN acid salts or quaternized copolymers of dialkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylates and vinyl monomers such as acrylamide, acid salts of Mannitz reaction products of polyacrylamide, organic cationic dehydrating agents such as chitozan, or iron. It is customary to use inorganic dehydrating agents such as salt and slaked lime. However, sludge wastewater contains many malodorous components, such as hydrogen sulfide, sulfur-containing substances such as mercaptans, nitrogen-containing substances such as ammonia and methylamine, indole, skatole, and formalin. Since they are not removed, they cause environmental pollution, and improvements are desired. As countermeasures, physical adsorption methods (e.g., activated carbon, zeolite, ion exchange resin treatment), chemical methods (e.g., spraying, spraying, contact treatment with wood vinegar, glyoxal, essential oil, etc.), oxidation methods, combustion methods,
By adopting masking methods (fragrances), environmental improvements are being made by inactivating or reducing the weight of malodorous substances. However, as mentioned above, malodorous substances include a wide range of compounds and cannot be completely removed by a single treatment method, but are reduced by combining a number of methods. Therefore, measures to deodorize malodorous substances require a large amount of equipment and expense. Dehydrating agents and flocculants that have both deodorizing and dehydrating effects have already been proposed in JP-A-50-3087 and JP-A-56-7696, but these are based on the combination of deodorizing ingredients and polymer flocculants. It is something. Considering this situation, if the dehydrating agent component of organic sludge can reduce the odor by adsorbing or neutralizing the odor components contained in the sludge, it is expected that the working environment will be improved, the work will be simplified, and the equipment will be reduced. The present inventors conducted extensive research to inactivate or reduce the malodorous components contained in these sludges, and discovered a dehydrating agent having a functional group or component that exhibits a deodorizing function. That is, NN dialkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate acid salt or quaternized monomer 10 to 99 mol%, (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate 1 to 30 mol%, (meth)acrylamide 0 to 90 mol% , and a polymer obtained by polymerizing 0 to 10 mol% of other polymerizable vinyl monomers, wherein the (meth)allyl (meth)
A cationic polymer compound in which the allyl group contained in the acrylate monomer unit remains unreacted by 50% or more with respect to the allyl group of the (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate monomer before polymerization is an essential component. The present invention provides a deodorizing and dehydrating agent for sludge. In the present invention, dialkyl of NN dialkylaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate is methyl,
Lower dialkyl such as ethyl and aminoalkyl are amino lower alkylene such as methylene and ethylene, and (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate includes allyl acrylate, allyl methacrylate, methalyl acrylate, methalyl methacrylate, etc. Other polymerizable vinyl monomers include compounds with unsaturated double bonds such as acrylic esters, methacrylic esters, and acrylonitrile, which can be used within a range that does not impair the water solubility of the polymer. . It is essential that the cationic polymer compound of the present invention is water-soluble or water-dispersible, and its molecular weight is a size necessary to exhibit a dehydration effect, that is, preferably at least 1,000,000. The above means that 50% or more of the allyl group contained in the (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate monomer unit remains in an unreacted state with respect to the allyl group of the (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate monomer before polymerization. It is necessary that the The cationic polymer compound can be produced by polymerizing the above monomers by a conventional method in the presence of a conventional thermal initiator or photoinitiator. In order to achieve residual allyl groups, it is preferable to polymerize and powder at low temperatures. A compound having a plurality of unsaturated double bonds can be used in combination with the cationic polymer compound of the present invention. Further, deodorizing ingredients such as pyroligneous vinegar, glyoxal, and essential oil can be used in combination. The amount of these combined formulations can be added within a range that does not significantly reduce the dehydration effect, but it is usually preferably 20% by weight (hereinafter referred to as Wt) or less, and these combined formulations have a good sludge deodorizing effect. It is more preferable to increase the amount as much as possible within the above range. By adding the deodorizing and dehydrating agent of the present invention to sludge having a bad odor, dehydration and deodorization can be achieved at the same time, but the time of addition is generally at the time when sludge is dehydrated, for example, when the sludge is dehydrated. The object of the present invention can be achieved by mixing the deodorizing and dehydrating agent of the present invention with sludge before applying it to a centrifuge or filter press. The blending amount of the deodorizing and dehydrating agent of the present invention is per solid content of sludge,
0.05 to 5 Wt% is preferred. In the present invention, by using an acid salt of NN dialkyriaminoalkyl (meth)acrylate or a quaternized monomer and (meth)allyl (meth)acrylate as essential components, unsaturated allyl The residual allyl group reacts with malodorous components to reduce malodor effects. Next, examples of the present invention will be shown, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Example 1 The deodorizing and dehydrating effects of the deodorizing and dehydrating agent of the present invention were tested on sewage treatment sludge in the following manner. The dewatering effect was evaluated by taking 200 ml of sludge into a beaker, adding a deodorizing and dehydrating agent, and performing the following method. Using a press-type dehydrator, the solid and liquid are separated using the Nutsuchie method, and the filtrate is evaluated for drainage volume, transparency,
The cake on the nuttie was dehydrated in a press dehydrator, and the moisture content of the cake was measured and evaluated. (Listed in Table 1) Using a centrifugal dehydrator, the transparency and cake water content of the filtrate after centrifugal dehydration were measured and evaluated.
(Listed in Table 2) Regarding the deodorizing effect, according to the following evaluation criteria:
It was evaluated by an odor sensory test. Evaluation criteria 0: Not detectable at all 1: Slightly detectable odor 2: Smell that can be easily detected 3: Smell that can be easily detected 4: Fairly strong odor 5: Strong odor〓Test compound〓 A: NNN trimethylaminoethyl methacrylate chloride/allyl acrylate = 80/20 mol% copolymer (allyl group remaining amount 95%) B: NNN trimethylaminoethyl methacrylate/allyl acrylate/acrylamide =
