なる。換言すれば、従来のこの種前照灯ではシエ
ード4がなければ走行ビーム用ランプとなりシエ
ード4を設置させるとすれ違いビーム用ランプと
なり、走行ビーム用ランプとすれ違いビーム用ラ
ンプとが独立して必要となり、片側2灯の4灯式
ヘツドランプしか構成できない不具合があつた。

に、シエード4も前面レンズ3の中心点O付近を
中心にして下方へ角θ°(約3°)回転移動できるよ
うに構成したものである。即ち、第3図に示す如
く前面レンズ3を支持する支持枠5とシエード4
とを一体に形成させ、その支持枠5に回転支軸6
を前面レンズ3の半径R中心点O付近に位置させ
て光軸Hと直交する方向に突設させ、この支持枠
5を灯体(図示せず)に取付けて電気磁石などの
操作によつて前面レンズ3を上方へシエード4を
下方へ可動させるようにしたものである。従つて
この実施例の場合、前面レンズ3及びシエード4
を所定の通りの位置に設置させた状態(すなわち
第1図に示す状態)でもつて光源バルブ2を点灯
させれば、前面レンズ3を通つて上向きに配光さ
れる反射光P1はシエード4でカツトされてしま
うのですれ違い用ビームとなり、また前面レンズ
3の中心点O付近を中心として前面レンズ3を角
θだけ上方へ回転移動させシエード4を角θだけ
下方へ回転移動させた状態でもつて光源バルブ2
を点灯させれば、楕円面反射鏡1で反射された反
射光P1,P2はシエード4で遮ぎられることなく
前面レンズ3に入射し、前面レンズ3でもつて前
面レンズ3が上向いた分だけその最高光度点が上
方へ移動し、すれ違い用ビーム時よりも上方に配
光されて走行用ビームとなる。

移動した分だけ最高光度点が上方へ移動し、すれ
