At this time, the charge/discharge control signal (Sl) output from the control circuit (13) is set to H level and instructs charging. Therefore, the switch (3C) of the charge/discharge switching circuit (3) is opened, and the voltage of the battery (4) is not supplied to the load circuit (2). Also, at this time, if the battery (4) is not fully charged and has a capacity greater than the predetermined amount, the counter (9)
Since the value of is greater than the predetermined value, the quick charge start signal (S7) output from the detection circuit (12) is at L level, and the AND gate (14) of the clock signal switching circuit (8) is opened and normal charging is started. By inputting the clock signal (S4) to the counter (9), the counter (9) performs up-counting. At this time, the AND gate (19) is closed in the switching circuit (10) by the output of the inverter (20) to which the charge/discharge control signal (Sl) is supplied.
The discharge clock pulse signal (S6) is never input to the counter (9). On the other hand, quick charging start signal W (S7)
is at the L level, the switch (3A) of the charge/discharge switching circuit (3) is closed, and the battery (4) is normally charged.

9> starts counting up at a fast cycle, and the quick charge start signal (S7) is supplied to the charge/discharge switching circuit (3), so the switch (3A) opens and the switch (3B)
By closing the battery (4), the battery (4) is rapidly charged. Along with rapid charging, the counter (9) is also counted up at a fast cycle, and when the value of the counter (9) reaches a predetermined value, the rapid light 1 start signal (S7) output from the detection circuit (12) goes to L level. As described above, the battery changes to the normal charging state.

The constant of 1) is preset to the counter (9).As a result, even if there is a discrepancy between the capacity of the battery (4) and the count value of the counter (9), it will be completely charged when it is fully charged. A match is taken.

The counter (9) is reset by supplying the signal S3) to the counter (9). The control circuit (13) detects the reset of the counter (9)! It is determined that the pond (4) is inoperable,
By opening the switch (3C) of the charge/discharge switching circuit (3), control such as cutting off the voltage supply to the load circuit (2) is performed. Thus, the capacity of the battery (4) is calculated by the counter (9).
It can be digitally monitored according to the numerical value.
