筒に硬貨が満杯に収納されたことを検出するオー
バーフローセンサと、硬貨投入口より投入された
硬貨を検出して前記収納筒に振分け且つ偽貨を返
却通路に振分けると共に、前記オーバーフローセ
ンサの検出結果に基づいて、硬貨が満杯に収納さ
れた収納筒に対応する金種の硬貨を金庫通路に振
分ける選別手段とを備えた硬貨処理装置において
、 金庫の入口部に硬貨が詰まつたことを検出する
詰まり検出手段を金庫通路の終端近傍に設け、 前記選別手段は前記詰まり検出手段が硬貨詰ま
りを検知中においては前記金庫通路への振分けに
代えて当該投入された硬貨を返却通路に振分ける
