(Prior art) Conventionally, this type of air purifier has a discharge electrode and a dust collection electrode facing each other, the discharge electrode being connected to the negative side and the dust collection electrode being connected to the positive side, and a high DC voltage being applied between the two electrodes. A negative corona discharge is generated in the vicinity, and solid and liquid fine particles floating in the gas led between the two electrodes are collected on the dust collecting electrode.

However, if fine particles adhere to the dust collecting electrode and gradually accumulate, the corona discharge between the two electrodes becomes uneven, and the removal rate of dust in the air such as smoke passing through areas where the corona discharge is weak becomes poor. In order to remove the dust that has adhered to and accumulated on the dust electrode, the dust collection electrode is vibrated to shake off the dust, or the dirty dust collection electrode itself is discarded and replaced. However, when used in a general household, such work is troublesome and troublesome, and it is uneconomical to replace the expensive dust collecting electrode.

(Means and operations for solving the problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a dust collection device in an air purifier having a discharge electrode and a dust collection electrode disposed opposite to the discharge electrode. A sheet of paper for collecting smoke and other dust is installed along the pole so that it can be inserted or removed. Dust adheres to this sheet of paper, and by replacing the sheet, a good dust removal rate can be maintained. It is something.

FIG. 2 is a sectional view taken along the line X-Y in FIG. Shows the state seen from. Reference numeral 1 denotes a discharge electrode, and as shown in FIG. 4, the discharge electrode 1 has a flat plate shape and has sawtooth discharge portions 12 formed on the inner periphery of its cutout portion 11 toward the B direction on the exhaust side. Dust collection electrodes 2 are arranged above and below opposite to this discharge electrode 1, and each of the discharge electrode 1 and the dust collection electrode 2 is detachably inserted into a guide slit 4 provided in the side wall of a frame 3 made of synthetic resin. As shown in Figure 3, the gas introduced by the corona discharge generated between the negative discharge electrode 1 and the dust collecting electrode 2 to which a high voltage is applied becomes negative ions, and the ions attach to the dust. The dust particles become negatively charged. The negatively charged particles are collected toward the positive dust collecting electrode 2.

On the other hand, the collection paper 5 inserted along the dust collection pole 2
has the properties of a semiconductor, so the discharge 1
The dielectric is electrostatically polarized by the voltage between the electrode and the dust collecting electrode 2, and the side of the discharge electrode 1 inside the paper becomes positive, and the side of the dust collecting electrode 2 becomes negative, and they are brought into close contact by electrostatic force. In addition, since the collection paper 5 is a semiconductor, a weaker current flows through the dust collection electrode 1 than the discharge electrode 1, so the negatively charged dust particles move toward the positive dust collection electrode 1.
It will be attached to the positively charged collection paper. After attachment, the negatively charged particles are neutralized, but remain attached mechanically. Dirty collection paper 5
Then, the power is turned off, the collecting paper is taken out from the dust collecting pole slit 421, and the collecting paper 5 is replaced with a new collecting paper 5. That is, the collection paper 5 acts as a semiconductor and a dielectric material to attach and collect dust, and acts not as a dust collection pole itself but as a collection spacer.

The one shown in FIG. 5 is a modified example of the discharge electrode 1, in which a sawtooth discharge part 121 and a discharge part 122 are provided with their sharp ends facing each other, and the lines of electric force of the discharge part 122 are directed against the flow of gas. It's on. The dust collection force in this direction is stronger than that at the tip of 121 in the forward direction. This is discharge part 1
This contributes to strong and complete removal of remaining dust after the dust is removed by step 21.

There may be cases in which the collecting paper 5 does not perform electrostatic polarization due to increased humidity of the gas, but in this case, the collecting paper 5 is connected to the dust collecting electrode 2 at the guide slit 421 and the holding plate 6.
Since it is in contact with the collecting paper 5, the dust particles that are also positively charged and negatively charged will adhere to the collection paper 5.

As described above, the present invention arranges a discharge electrode and a dust collection electrode to face each other, and collects dust by ionizing dust by corona discharge.
A frame body is provided, a guide slit is provided on the inner side wall of the frame body, a discharge electrode and a dust collection electrode are inserted and arranged facing each other in the guide slit, and a dust collection paper is placed on the dust collection electrode surface on the discharge electrode side. A holding plate was provided to sandwich the discharge electrode and to be perpendicular to the discharge electrode, and the collection paper was supported by this holding plate. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the collection paper from bending and coming into contact with the discharge electrode, thereby preventing the corona discharge between the dust collection electrode and the discharge electrode from being inhibited, and since the collection part is made of paper, it is economical. The greatest feature of the air purifier according to the present invention is that newspapers, weekly magazines, and commercially available paper can be used as the paper to collect dust and the like.
