There is a signal detection method. 1 to 3 show the main parts of a conventional optical signal detection type disc player.

A pair of guide shafts 4 are arranged parallel to the guide shafts 1 and are attached to the chassis 1 at both ends thereof. These guide shafts 4 slidably support a carriage 5 carrying an optical pickup means (not shown) including a laser beam irradiation device. A half nut 6 serving as an engaging member that is screwed onto the worm 2 is arranged on the carriage 5. This half nut 6 is provided to extend substantially perpendicularly to the screw shaft 2, and has one end fixed to the carriage 5 and is fixed to the other end, that is, the free end, of a spring member 7 made of spring steel. The screw shaft 2 is biased toward the screw shaft 2 by the spring member.

い。 In a disk player having such a configuration, the carriage 5 is driven via the spring member 7 and the half nut 6 by rotating the worm 2 in the forward and reverse directions. When the frequency reaches a certain value or its vicinity, the spring member 7 may resonate. When such a resonance phenomenon occurs, the threaded state between the half nut 6 fixed to the spring member 7 and the worm 2 becomes unstable, and therefore,
It happens that the carriage 5 moves in a chirping motion within the gap existing between it and the guide shaft 4. As a result, so-called focus servo and tracking servo cannot be performed smoothly. Note that the focus servo and tracking servo are well known and will not be described in detail here.

ことが判明した。 In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, a proposal was made to form the spring member that supports the half nut from a resin with a large internal loss, and to release the energy that causes resonance in the spring member as thermal energy when the spring member is deformed. However, it was found that the durability and temperature characteristics of spring members made of resin molding were extremely inferior to those made of spring steel, and that they were not suitable for practical use.

is made by bending a spring steel or the like formed into a rectangular plate shape so that the cross section becomes a gentle S-shape, the longitudinal direction of which intersects approximately perpendicular to the axial direction of the worm 2. It is set up like this. The other end of the spring member 11, that is, the free end is connected to the carriage 5.
A half nut 6 that is screwed onto the worm 2 is fixed to the lower surface of the free end. The half nut 6 is urged toward the worm 2 by the spring member 11, and therefore the worm 2 and the half nut 6 are screwed together very tightly. A plate-shaped braking member 13 is fixed to the main surface of the spring member 11 that is not opposed to the worm 2 via a viscoelastic member 12 . In other words, when the spring member 11 is deflected in a direction substantially perpendicular to its main surface, the viscoelastic member 12 undergoes shearing deformation between the spring member and the plate-like braking member 13. . The viscoelastic member 12 is a highly efficient material that converts the energy that causes the viscoelastic member to deform into thermal energy and releases it directly into the air or into the carriage 5 via the spring member 11, that is, an internal loss material. Highly efficient products are used. Further, as the material of the plate-shaped braking member 13, for example, a thin plate-shaped material such as an aluminum alloy is used.

The configuration is not limited to this, and these members may be provided parallel to the worm 2 to support it, as shown in FIG.

Therefore, the resonance of the spring member is suppressed and the carriage runs stably, so that the focus servo and tracking servo become smooth. Furthermore, since the spring member is made of resin and has sufficient durability, it takes a very long time before deterioration occurs over time.
