Prior Art As a method of this type, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 54-6732, when the amount of waste gas is less than the processing capacity of the ground flare, waste gas is supplied to the ground flare and the waste gas is disposed of. The waste gas is processed in multiple burner combustion stages according to the amount of gas, and when the amount of waste gas exceeds the processing capacity of the ground flare, the excess waste gas is supplied to the flare stack for processing, and the waste gas is also transferred to the flare stack. It is known to simultaneously supply purge gas for flashback prevention to the flare stack.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In the above-mentioned conventional method, purge gas for preventing flashback is supplied to the flare stack at the same time as waste gas is supplied to the flare stack, so the purge gas arrives at the flare stack burner at the same time or earlier than the waste gas. There is no problem if the purge gas arrives later than the waste gas, but if the purge gas arrives later than the waste gas, the waste gas may burn inside the burner and the burner may burn out.

The flare stack 1 includes a cylindrical flare stack body 4 vertically erected on the ground 3, and a main burner 5 provided at the top of the body 4. A backfire prevention purge gas supply pipe 6 extending from a supply source (not shown) is connected to the main burner 5, and is provided with an on-off valve 7. Grand Flare 2 is
It is equipped with three stages of burners (not shown). Further, the flare stack 1 and the ground flare 2 are each equipped with water seal drums 8 and 9 in order to control the amount of waste gas introduced. Both the flare stack and ground flare water seal drums 8 and 9 have airtight hollow drum bodies 11 and 12 in which water 10 is stored almost halfway inside, and waste gas inlet pipes 13 and 14.
and outlet pipes 15 and 16. A waste gas conduit 18 extending from the safety valve 17 is branched into two and connected to one end of each of the inlet pipes 13 and 14, respectively. The other ends of the inlet pipes 13 and 14 are inserted into the water 10 by different predetermined depths L and l, respectively. Therefore, different water pressures corresponding to the respective insertion depths L and l act on the same end. The insertion depth L, l is L>l. The outlet pipe 15 of the flare stack water seal drum 8 is connected to the flare stack main body 4. On the other hand, the outlet pipe 16 of the ground flare water seal drum 9 is branched into three parts and connected to first to third communication pipes 19, 20, and 21 which respectively communicate with the three stages of burners of the ground flare 2. A first pressure detector 22 is provided in the first communication pipe 19 . Also, the second communication pipe 20

The waste gas sent through the conduit 18 is sent to the flare stack and ground flare water seal drums 8 and 9.
Of these, the inlet pipe 14 has a smaller water pressure acting on its end.
The ground flare 2 is supplied to the ground flare 2 through the latter drum 9, which has a drum 9, and is subjected to pre-processing. When the amount of waste gas exceeds the processing capacity of Grand Flare 2,
The excess waste gas is supplied to the flare stack 1 through the former drum 8 for treatment.

The waste gas supplied to the ground flare 2 side is
First, it is sent to the first stage burner through the first communication pipe 19, and is burned in this burner. When the amount of processed gas increases and exceeds the processing capacity of the first stage burner, the first pressure detector 22 detects this, and the first on-off valve 23 is opened in response to this detection signal. As a result, the second communication pipe 20 is opened and the waste gas is transferred to the first
It is sent to the first and second stage burners through the second communication pipes 19 and 20, and is simultaneously burned in both burners. When the amount of waste gas increases further and exceeds the processing capacity of both burners, it is transferred to the second pressure detector 2.
4 is detected, and the second on-off valve 2 is detected by this detection signal.
6 will be held. When the second on-off valve 26 is opened, the waste gas is sent to all the burners in each stage through all of the first to third communication pipes 19 to 21, and is combusted by the burners in all stages. Moreover, when the amount of waste gas decreases, the above-mentioned operation is performed in reverse and the second on-off valve 2
6 to the first on-off valve 23 are closed in this order. In this way, in the ground flare 2, as the amount of waste gas supplied increases or decreases, the number of combustion stages of the burner increases or decreases.

The second on-off valve 2 when the number of burner combustion stages increases or decreases.
6 is opened or closed, the limit switch 25 detects this opening/closing operation. This detection signal causes the second
The on-off valve 7 of the purge gas supply pipe 6 is opened and closed in conjunction with the on-off valve 26 . That is, when the second on-off valve 26 is opened, the on-off valve 7 of the purge gas supply pipe 6 is simultaneously opened and the flashback prevention purge gas is supplied to the main burner 5. Further, when the second on-off valve 26 is closed, the on-off valve 7 of the purge gas supply pipe 6 is closed and the supply of the purge gas is stopped. When waste gas in excess of the burner processing capacity of all stages of ground flare 2 is supplied to flare stack 1,
The on-off valve 26 has already been opened, and the main burner 5 has been supplied with purge gas in advance. Therefore, when the safety valve 17 is closed, the waste gas remaining in the flare stack 1 is purged out by the purge gas, so that the waste gas remains in the flare stack 1.
It will not explode inside and cause backfire.

Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, since purge gas is supplied to the flare stack before waste gas is supplied to the flare stack, combustion of the waste gas inside the burner of the flare stack can be reliably prevented, and the combustion of the waste gas inside the burner can be reliably prevented. Burnout can be completely eliminated.
