Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a time interval from an end of measurement preparation to a start of X-ray on to be set up freely in accordance with a subject's reaction time by installing a set-up unit for determining that time interval at a control panel and by having an X-ray generated according to a value set by this set-up unit. CONSTITUTION:A scanner 8 receives an X-ray irradiation from an X-ray tube 10, carries out measurement and takes up measured values, and a CPU 5 in a control panel 1 makes up a CT image by using those measured values. A volume 2 (a set-up unit) on the operation panel 1 is analog-type and can be controlled freely by an operator. A reaction time X, which is a period from an end point of measurement preparation time (T2), i.e., an end point of T2 period, to a start point of subject's breath stopping, varies with the subject. Therefore, a time interval T is freely set up by the volume 2 considering variations of X due to individual differences, and an operation is carried out according to a time sequence after the setting of volume 2. It is possible, by the aforementioned devices, to prevent a blurring of chest X-ray image due to respiration, even though there are individual differences in the reaction time T.

In addition to the original X-ray generation function and image processing function for obtaining CT tomographic images, the X-ray CT apparatus has the ability to give voice instructions to the subject by automatically generating a voice that registers command words in advance and causes them to speak. For example, when you want to obtain a tomographic image of your chest, you are given a voice instruction to "hold your breath." Upon receiving this instruction, the subject temporarily stops breathing, and during this pause period, the chest is irradiated with X-rays. Moving parts other than the chest (abdomen, etc.)
There are similar voice instructions for .

In the above-mentioned conventional technology, the command to stop breathing, etc. is changed depending on the A1 measurement site of the subject. However, since the time from the automatic voice generation to the start of measurement is fixed, the difference in response (difference in breathing time) between the subjects is ignored. For this reason, elderly people and critically ill patients who have slow reactions may be forced to stop breathing.

According to the present invention, the setting device controls the sound generation path from point Y to point X.
Set the time until irradiation. This set value is read by the CPU and determines the time point at which the X-ray CT device starts irradiating X-rays. Thereby, even if there is a measurement difference in the start point of the respiratory hold period and the period itself, a value corresponding to the individual difference can be set in the setting device.

The problems here are the measurement preparation time T, the end point (T
The time ΔX from the end of period S to the start of absorption stoppage differs depending on the subject. However, even if the reaction time ΔX differs, conventionally the time ΔT from the end of the period Tr to the start of the X-ray ON period is fixed, so for elderly or critically ill patients whose ΔX approaches 8T, X-rays are applied before breathing has completely stopped. This causes blurring of the X-ray image.

After setting this volume 2, the system operates according to the time sequence shown in FIG. 2. As a result, even if there are individual differences in reaction time ΔX, ΔT can be set in consideration of the individual differences. In this way, blurring of the X-ray image due to chest breathing can be suppressed.
