A modeling plate material having a cross-section with a colored draft pattern and a method of forming a modeled object using the same are described in detail in Japanese Patent Publication No. 35671/1983 filed by the present applicant.
Briefly, a plurality of pieces of paper of different colors are stacked, a resin-based adhesive is infiltrated into each piece of paper, and each piece of paper is bonded together with this adhesive, and a plate material for modeling with a colored striped pattern on the cross section is created. After engraving etc. on this modeling board material to make it into a single shape, a transparent resin is coated on the entire surface and penetrated, and then hardened to obtain a modeled object with a colored striped pattern. It is.

As mentioned above, although paper is used as the material for modeling and processing is relatively easy, it takes a certain amount of creative creativity to create and finish a complex object from a board. Strength and skill are required. When it comes to large-sized objects, the amount of materials used and, therefore, the cost of production cannot be ignored.

It is made of small pieces (chips) that have colored striped patterns in the shape of mochi and wood grain, and a plurality of these small pieces are arranged and glued on a flat or three-dimensional surface to form a predetermined decorative pattern and to decorate the entire surface. Some products are cured by coating them with a transparent resin.

Prepare pieces of paper dyed in several different colors using Japanese paper (four-cut, eight-cut) or Japanese paper. These pieces of paper should be completely dyed on both sides of the paper, right down to the center, in order to make the most of the color of the cut cross section, and should be relatively thin so that the liquid resin can penetrate well. For example, 20 to 30 or more of the above paper strips of the same color are stacked one upon another according to an appropriate color distribution to form one board. When pasting pieces of paper together, adhesive is applied to each piece of paper and the pieces of paper are successively overlapped. The adhesive material is one that completely adheres to pieces of paper and dries quickly, does not harden after drying, is soft, colorless and transparent with no foreign body feeling, and does not change color, and has an adhesive strength that does not change the color of the paper. Stir and mix a chemically synthesized glue (for example, Arabic glue, etc.) and a vinyl acetate resin emulsion adhesive (commonly known as woodworking bond), and use a ruler etc. to uniformly and thoroughly penetrate the paper. After applying the coating so that the
