Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a paper in the middle of transferring from separating from the surface of a photosensitive drum and slipping of the surface of the photosensitive drum and to decrease the faulty transfer and the printing blur by executing transfer while the paper is pressed to the photosensitive drum by a charger roller which is electrostatically charged. CONSTITUTION:A transfer charger 2 is constituted so that a hollow charger roller 2a made of insulating member is rotatably attached in a charger case 2b and a charger wire 2c is allowed to pass through the center of the roller 2a. Then, the charger 2 is disposed below the photosensitive drum 1 and can freely rotate with the rotation of the drum 1 by making the roller 2a press- contact with the surface of the drum 1. The roller 2a which is electrostatically charged by corona discharge from the wire 2c comes in contact with the paper 3, so that the paper 3 is electrostatically charged. Thus, faulty transfer and printing blur caused by slip between the surface of the photosensitive drum and the paper in the middle of transferring are prevented.
