(Conventional technology) For power equipment and power cables that use high voltage,
For example, gas in an insulator void (gas gap) is ionized and a partial discharge occurs. Although this discharge is a weak repetitive pulse current, if it continues for a long period of time, it can significantly damage or deteriorate the insulator and cause serious dielectric breakdown. For this reason, a method of diagnosing the state of an insulator by applying a test voltage between a high-voltage conductor and a ground conductor of a specimen and measuring the partial discharge pulses generated has been widely adopted. However, because undesirable noise pulses are generated in the specimen or test circuit due to various causes, it is necessary to detect partial discharge pulses separately from the noise pulses.
Many methods have been proposed for this purpose (for example,
(Refer to "IEEJ Technical Report (Part ■)" No. 222, pages 13 to 19, published June 1999). These conventional techniques are based on the amplitude of the generated partial discharge pulse,
Capture phase, frequency, polarity, rise time and other characteristics,
The common feature is that partial discharge pulses and noise pulses can be distinguished by combining one or more of these characteristics, but single-shot (
When a sudden (sudden) partial discharge or a minute partial discharge occurs, it becomes difficult to distinguish the partial discharge pulse from the noise pulse and detect it. In other words, the noise removal method using a wideband amplifier utilizes the difference between the rise time and fall time of a pulse or the difference in pulse duration, but it In this case, the waveform cannot be accurately determined. On the other hand, with the noise removal method using a narrowband amplifier, the waveform information of the partial discharge pulse is lost as a result of narrowband amplification, and if the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N ratio) of the partial discharge pulse is less than 1, It is not possible to clearly distinguish between partial discharge pulses and noise pulses. On the other hand, noise removal methods using pulse number control and noise windows cannot cope with single partial discharges, and noise removal methods using self-phase gates and synchronous noise windows cannot cope with wide phase ranges (e.g. 0 ~90° or 18
When partial discharge occurs over a range of 0° to 270°, it is difficult to distinguish between partial discharge pulses and noise pulses. Furthermore, with the waveform observation method using an oscilloscope, it is not possible to automatically distinguish between a single partial discharge current pulse and a noise pulse, and skill is required to distinguish between partial discharge pulses, and individual differences are likely to occur. There is a problem.

By this, it is determined whether the detection signal is a partial discharge pulse or not, and only when it is determined that it is a partial discharge pulse,
This can be solved by configuring the device to supply the detection signal to the measuring instrument. The setting (storage) of the reference waveform in the second storage device is performed by S
This can be done using a pulse oscillator configured to generate a simulated partial discharge pulse. Although the simulated pulse may be directly supplied to the memory device, it is more preferable to inject it between the high voltage conductor and the ground conductor of the specimen and supply it to the memory device via a coupling capacitor. This is because in normal partial discharge tests, a method is used in which a simulated pulse of one partial discharge pulse is injected between the high-voltage conductor and the ground conductor of the test piece in order to calibrate the measured value of the discharge charge of one partial discharge pulse. This is because, in the case of the present invention which uses similar simulated pulses, it is more advantageous to utilize the pulse oscillator provided for calibrating the discharge charge. Whether or not the detection signal is a partial discharge pulse can be determined using, for example, a cross-correlation coefficient calculator. The calculator functions to determine the correlation of waveforms on the time axis. Instead of or in addition to the cross-correlation coefficient calculator, it is also possible to use, for example, a fast Fourier transform (FFT) calculator or a histogram (HIST) calculator. The former functions to determine the correlation of waveforms on the frequency axis, and the latter functions to determine the correlation of waveforms on the voltage axis. Discrimination of the detection signal requires a predetermined calculation processing time. Therefore, it is desirable to include a suitable delay circuit in the transmission circuit for supplying the detection signal to the measuring instrument, and configure the apparatus so that the detection signal discrimination operation and the transmission operation are synchronized with each other. The means for storing the detection signal in the first storage device includes:
In order to eliminate the effects of low-level noise, it is desirable to configure the storage device to start operating only when a signal of a predetermined level or higher arrives. This can be easily realized by setting the operation level of the trigger circuit to an appropriate value in advance. The same applies when a simulated pulse is injected into the specimen and stored in the second storage device.

The determination as to whether the detection signal is a partial discharge pulse is made by comparing the waveform of the detection signal stored in the first storage device with the reference waveform stored in the second storage device. Therefore, the partial discharge testing device of the present invention not only has significantly improved discrimination ability compared to the conventional technology that detects only the amplitude, rise time, and other characteristics to determine whether or not it is a partial discharge pulse, but also can detect large noise pulses. Partial discharge pulses buried therein can also be reliably identified and extracted, making it possible to significantly improve the equivalent S/N ratio or sensitivity.

FIG. 1 is a schematic wiring diagram of the entire device, and 1 indicates a power supply such as a power cable, for example. The specimen, 2 is a test voltage source connected between the high voltage conductor and the ground conductor on one end side of the specimen, 3 is a detection impedance connected in parallel to the specimen through a coupling capacitor 3'. , 4 is a partial discharge pulse measuring section connected to the detection impedance 3. Also, 5 is similar to test voltage source 2,
This is a simulated pulse oscillator connected between the high voltage conductor and the ground conductor on one end side of the specimen 1, and in the case of this embodiment, also serves as a simulated pulse oscillator for calibrating the discharge charge. The partial discharge test is performed by closing the switch 2S and applying a test voltage to the specimen 1. If there is an insulator void etc. in the specimen 1, the gas in that area will ionize and a partial discharge will occur. However, a steep pulse current flows across both ends of the detection impedance 3, and a pulse signal (partial discharge pulse) is generated. The detected signal is taken into the partial discharge pulse measuring section 4 and necessary measurements are performed. FIG. 2 is a system diagram showing details of the partial discharge/pulse measuring section 4. As shown in FIG. The input terminal 6 is connected to first and second storage devices 7 and 8 (for example, digital memories) having substantially the same structure.
In addition, a trigger circuit 9 and a delay circuit IO are connected as shown. The trigger circuit 9 is configured to generate a trigger signal when a signal exceeding a preset level arrives. The storage devices i7 and i8 are controlled by a trigger signal from the trigger circuit 9 and are configured to store the waveform of the signal arriving at the input terminal 6. The delay circuit 10 is configured to delay an incoming signal by a certain period of time and output it again. The first storage device 7 is used to temporarily store the actual waveform of the detection signal, and the second storage device 8 is used to previously store the reference waveform of the partial discharge pulse. A switch 8S is inserted between the second storage bag W8 and the trigger circuit 9 to selectively control the control action of the circuit. In the case of this embodiment, the output waveform of the simulated pulse oscillator 5 (FIG. 1) is used as the reference waveform set in the second storage device 8. That is, when the switch 2S shown in FIG. 4. For this reason,
When the switch 8s shown in FIG. The simulated pulse waveform is stored as a reference waveform. After setting the reference waveform, the switches 5s and 8S are left open. In this state, the switch 2s (Fig. 1) is closed, a test voltage is applied to the specimen 1, and a partial discharge test is started. The detection signal taken in through the input terminal 6 in FIG.
The trigger circuit 9 generates a trigger signal indiscriminately as long as the incoming detection signal exceeds a preset level, although some are caused by partial discharge and some are caused by noise. As a result, the first memory tribe! 7 temporarily stores the waveform of the detection signal regardless of whether it is one partial discharge pulse or not. A partial discharge discriminator 11 is connected to the rear stage of the first and second memory groups @7 and 8, and the discriminator compares the stored waveforms of the planar memory devices with each other, and It is determined whether the detection signal stored in w7 is a partial discharge pulse. Then, only when it is determined that it is a partial discharge pulse, the gate circuit 1 connected to the subsequent stage of the delay circuit 10
A control signal is output to 2 to make the circuit conductive for a certain period of time. The delay circuit 10 has a delay time set in advance so that the detection signal can be sent out in accordance with the timing when the gate circuit 12 becomes conductive, in other words, the timing when the discrimination operation by the discrimination device 'a11 is completed. I'll keep it. In this way, the detection signal whose waveform is stored in the first storage device 7 is supplied to the measuring device 13 as a partial discharge pulse. When the series of operations is completed, a reset signal is output from the discriminator m1ll, the first storage device 7 is restored, and the process moves to the first test stage. In the case of this embodiment, the discriminator 11 includes a cross-correlation coefficient calculator 14, a determiner 15, and a memory 16. The cross-correlation coefficient calculator 14 starts operating at the same time as the detection signal is recorded in the first memory group w7, and
The stored waveforms from 7 and 8 are retrieved, the cross-correlation coefficients of both waveforms are determined, and the degree of similarity of the waveforms is converted into a numerical value in the range of O to 1, for example. The determiner 15 determines the magnitude relationship between the obtained numerical value and a determination value preset in the memory 16. As a result of the determination, if the detection signal stored in the first memory group M7 corresponds to a partial discharge pulse, the gate circuit 12
A control signal is sent to.

Pulses can be identified. In addition, the partial discharge pulse measuring section can be easily incorporated into a conventional partial discharge testing device, so it is extremely convenient in actual use.
