Claims

[Claims for Utility Model Registration] (1) An annular sealing member that is coaxially inserted into an annular space formed by two members arranged so as to be movable relative to each other, and a cylinder that is fitted into one of the members. In an oil seal having a shaped fitting part and a seal lip extending along the axis to make sealing contact with the other member, the seal lip reaches the front position of the insertion side tip of the seal lip in the fitting part. An oil seal characterized in that an annular guide member having a flange is attached, and the flange is provided with a tapered surface that slopes from the insertion side tip toward the sealing contact area of the seal lip. (2) The oil seal according to claim 1, wherein a protrusion is provided at the tip of the seal lip on the insertion side. (3) The oil seal according to claim 2, wherein the flange end of the guide member is located between the protrusion of the seal lip and the other member. (4) The oil seal according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the flange of the guide member is provided with a reinforcing portion that increases bending rigidity in the insertion direction.
