象となるバーコード上に走査させるスキヤニング
手段と、 前記バーコードから反射したレーザ光を受光す
ることにより電気的信号を発生する受光素子と、 テスト開始信号を発生するモード設定手段と、 該モード設定手段からのテスト開始信号に基づ
いてタイミング信号を連続して発生するタイミン
グ信号発生手段と、 通常使用状態では、外部タイミング信号に基づ
いて前記レーザ点灯手段を点灯して前記受光素子
から得られるバーコードデータを検出し、テスト
モード時には前記タイミング信号発生手段の発生
するタイミング信号に基づいてレーザ点灯手段を
点灯して前記受光素子から得られるバーコードデ
ータが読取れたか否かを判別するバーコード検出
手段と、 該バーコード検出手段により検出されたバーコ
ードデータ及び前記バーコード検出手段により判
別されたテストモード時の読取り結果を表示する
出力手段と、 を有するテストモード付定置式バーコードリーダ
