For this reason, many washing areas have traditionally been equipped with ceramic tiles or waterproof panels made of molded FRP plates.

Washing areas made of FRP lack insulation, so they feel hard and cold, and the downside is that your feet get cold in the winter. In addition, when wet, it is slippery, sometimes causing children and the elderly to fall over. Furthermore, the floor surfaces made of FRP molded panels such as bath units were monotonous in color and design, and lacked aesthetic appeal.

た。 On the other hand, wood is known as a material that has excellent heat insulation properties, moderate cushioning properties, and non-slip surface properties. It is conceivable to use this wood board as it is as a flooring material for a washing area, but wood expands and contracts as it absorbs water and dries, causing deformations such as warping and twisting, and gaps may form at the joints of the floorboards, causing water leakage. In addition, the absorbed water dries slowly, leaving the bathroom feeling damp and unpleasant to use, and easily causing dirt and decay, making it difficult to form a practical floor surface for a washing area. This method was used to prevent decay and dirt from accumulating. However, the washing area floor made of slatted boards a is unstable because the slatted boards a are placed on the tiled drainage surface, and the slatted boards a tend to move easily, and objects may fall through the gaps between the slatted boards a. Dust often accumulates between the slatted board a and the tile floor surface b, and it is often necessary to remove the slatted board a and wash the floor surface b, which requires maintenance.

A washroom floor that drains water well and dries in a short time, so it won't stay damp forever, and unlike washroom floors made of slatted boards, it doesn't require troublesome maintenance and has excellent rot resistance. The purpose is to provide structure.

とするものである。(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to achieve the above object, the present invention uses acetylated wood that has been chemically modified to replace some or all of the hydroxyl groups in the wood components with hydrophobic acetyl groups. However, we focused on the fact that this acetylated wood has improved moisture absorption, dimensional stability, and rot resistance without impairing the characteristics of wood such as heat insulation and cushioning properties. It was discovered that it is slow to penetrate soapy water and has excellent stain resistance, and was used as the floor surface of the washing area. That is, in the floor structure of the washing area in the bathroom of the present invention, a floorboard made of acetylated wood in which the hydroxyl groups in the wood components are replaced with acetyl groups is laid and fixed integrally on the subfloor of the washing area in the bathroom without any gaps. , the floor surface of the washing area is formed.

Since the acetylated wood has no loss in its porosity or buffering properties, the floor of the washing area retains the insulation properties and soft feel characteristic of wood, which prevents your feet from getting cold. It has excellent heat retention, and the surface is non-slip, making it highly safe. Furthermore, although water in the washing area penetrates into the voids in the wood on the floor, there is little association with the acetylated wood components, so the floor drains easily and dries in a short period of time, keeping the floor moist forever. Acetylated wood has a low water absorption capacity, so dirt and other substances eluted in the washing water will hardly settle on the floor surface. Since weak alkaline solutions such as water and shampoo can be easily washed away, discoloration due to alkali progresses slowly and has excellent stain resistance. In addition, acetylated wood has excellent dimensional stability with little expansion and contraction due to water absorption and drying, so there are no gaps at the joints of the floorboards after the floorboards are laid without any gaps, and the floor surface has excellent watertightness. It becomes something.

In this example, a single wooden floor board 5 made of a veneer laminated material (plywood, LVL, etc.) made of acetylated wood that has been chemically modified to replace the hydroxyl groups in the wood components with acetyl groups, is made of joists, etc. It is constructed by being integrally fixed onto the floor sub-base 9 with an adhesive or the like. Further, the wing wall 2, the shelf portion 3, and the bathtub 4 are also all formed of the veneer laminated material made of the acetylated wood.

For the bathroom, as shown in Figure 3, acetylated wood floorboards 5' of an appropriate width are filled with caulking agent 6 at the joints, and connected by real joints, etc., and laid together without gaps. It may be. Further, as shown in detail in FIG. 4, both side ends of the floor plate 5 are fitted into grooves 7 provided in the wing wall 2 with caulking agent 8 interposed, and the side ends of the floor surface 1 This is to prevent water from leaking into the base 9.

Acetylated wood veneer is made, which is then laminated and bonded to form a laminate board, which is laid on the washing area floor to form the floor surface of the bathroom washing area. This acetylated wood has some (or all) of the hydroxyl groups in the wood components replaced with hydrophobic acetyl groups, which suppresses moisture adsorption into the wood components (especially in the amorphous region of cellulose). As a result, swelling of the cellulose amorphous region due to water absorption and shrinkage due to drying are reduced. For example, if the acetylation rate is around 20%, the expansion and contraction due to water absorption and drying is 1/3 to 1/40 of that of untreated wood. In addition to having excellent dimensional stability, the growth of decay fungi is also slow due to the small amount of water absorption and swelling in the cellulose amorphous region, resulting in improved decay resistance.

The washing area floor 1 maintains the insulation properties, soft feel, and non-slip surface properties unique to wood, which prevents your feet from getting cold and is non-slip even when wet, which is not possible with conventional tiling. Good, the surface dries in a short time. the result,
The washing area floor 1 does not stay damp forever, and the surface feels smooth when used. Moreover, since acetylated wood absorbs less water,
The washing area floor surface 1 is difficult for dirt etc. eluted in the washing area to settle on it and has excellent stain resistance, and the dirt adhering to the surface does not settle inside because the wood components are hydrophobized with acetyl groups. It can be easily washed off by washing.

Therefore, while maintaining the various performances required for a washing area, it takes advantage of the unique qualities of wood (warmth retention that never gets cold, safety), and eliminates the disadvantages of wood so that it will never become damp. , you can get a good feeling of use, and there is no need to remove and dry it like you would with a slatted board.
It has a remarkable effect on improving the usability of the washing area.

できる。 In addition, in FIG. 1, the wing walls 2 and the shelf section 3 can also be constructed of treated wood that has been subjected to acetylation treatment in the same way as the floorboard. In this case, both the wing wall 3 and the floorboard 5 have improved dimensional changes when water is absorbed, so there is no water leakage at the joint between the two, and an integrated design prevents water from seeping into the subfloor. A washing area can be created.

In addition, since the acetylated wood 11 has small dimensional changes due to water absorption,
It has the feature that peeling does not occur due to dimensional changes on the adhesive surface with the FRP molded panel 10, and an integrated wooden floor surface can be formed.
It is possible to improve the heat retention and design of the floor surface of the bath unit.

Since it forms the floor surface of the washing area, it has the unique advantages of wood (heat retention, safety).
While taking advantage of this, it eliminates the drawbacks of wood, drains water well, stays dry for a long time, and improves stain resistance and durability. To provide a suitable washing area floor that does not get cold and always has a smooth surface.
