Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、自動販売機の遠隔監視装置、更に詳
細には、中央コンピユータから離れている自動販
売機内への不法浸入等を監視する自動販売機の遠
隔監視装置に関する。
従来技術及びその課題 従来、在庫変化、製品の補充、現金受取り、製
品の販売状況、売切れ状態、種々の警報等を監視
するための装置が開発されている。
しかしながら、先行技術の自動販売機の監視装
置により与えられる機能は限定されている。この
ため、自動販売機のネツトワークの円滑で効率の
良い動作を促進するために必要なデータが制限さ
れる。
上記のとおりの先行技術の例として、次のとお
りの米国特許を挙げることができる。
米国特許第3365700号 米国特許第3651466号 米国特許第3842208号 米国特許第4075463号 米国特許第4108363号 米国特許第4241237号 従つて、関連した有用なデータを監視し、そし
て分析及び制御のため中央コンピユータに伝送す
ることができる自動販売機監視装置が求められて
いる。
本発明の主な目的は、有用なデータを監視しそ
して離れた位置にある自動販売機から中央コンピ
ユータに送信するための装置を提供することであ
る。
本発明の他の目的は、サービス作業のための、
自動販売機を再充填するための経路及びトラツク
積下ろしのより効率の良いスケジユールを作成す
るための資料を提供することである。
本発明の他の目的は、保守作業のための経路に
関して迅速な経路確立することである。
本発明の他の目的は、自動販売機から十分なデ
ータを得て、より良好な供給経路プラニングを容
易にすることである。
本発明の他の目的は、自動販売機への不法な入
りを監視するための必要なデータを中央コンピユ
ータに伝送する自動販売機の遠隔監視装置を提供
することである。
課題を解決するための手段 本発明に従うと、上記のとおりの課題が、 自動販売機のドアの開閉を中央コンピユータに
よつて遠隔監視する、自動販売機の遠隔監視装置
において、 該自動販売機が、 販売する製品を入れる複数個の貯蔵区画と、 該貯蔵区画への出入りを可能にするドアと、 該ドアが開いていることを感知して、ドア開信
号を生成するドアスイツチと、 該ドアが開けられるまで作動不可能である、該
自動販売機内に位置する入り肯定応答スイツチ
と、 上記ドア開信号の生成後の経過時間を測定する
ドアタイマと、 上記ドア開信号生成後、所定時間内に該入り肯
定応答スイツチが作動されたときに、正当な入り
信号を生成し、上記所定時間内に該入り肯定応答
スイツチが作動されなかつたときに、不法入り信
号を生成する論理回路と、 該自動販売機のサービスをするための該自動販
売機内への入りを表す、手動作動に応答したサー
ビス信号を生成するサービススイツチと、 上記正当な入り信号及び上記サービス信号の生
成に応答して、サービス作業信号を性するサービ
ス作業信号生成手段とを具備し、 該中央コンピユータが、 メモリに記憶された所定の予定されたサービス
作業時間内に上記サービス作業信号が生成された
か否かを判定して、予定されたサービス作業と予
定されていないサービス作業を識別する第１の識
別手段と、 上記所定時間内に、該入り肯定応答スイツチの
作動があり、引き続いてサービス作業信号の生成
がないときに、保守作業信号を生成する保守作業
信号生成手段と、 メモリに記憶された所定の予定された保守作業
時間内に上記保守作業信号が生成されたか否かを
判定して、予定された保守作業と予定されていな
い保守作業とを識別する第２の識別手段と を具備することを特徴とする自動販売機の遠隔監
視装置 を提供することによつて、解決する。
自動販売機は、ボトル入り飲料又はカン入りの
飲料を販売するための機械、任意のタイプの予め
包装された品物のための販売機等を意味する。
中央コンピユータは、例えば、IBMシリー
ズ／Ｉプロセツサを含むことができ、その構成
は、監視する自動販売機の数及び処理の態様に依
存する。
好ましい態様において、本発明の自動販売機の
遠隔監視装置は、各自動販売機内に配置され、釣
銭器、自動販売リレー、売切れインジケータ、温
度センサ、コンプレツサ及び自動販売機ドアスイ
ツチ等の多数の感知点に接続されたマイクロプロ
セツサを含む。
好ましい態様におけるマイクロプロセツサは、
RCA1802集積回路チツプである。しかしながら、
モトローラMC146805集積回路の如き他のモジユ
ールも、本発明の装置に使用することができる。
更に、本発明の自動販売機の遠隔監視装置は、
自動販売機への入りの権限を与えられているか、
又は与えられていないかどうかを決定するため適
当な論理回路と組合わせて使用されるマイクロプ
ロセツサに接続された二つの手動スイツチ、即ち
入り肯定応答スイツチ及びサービススイツチを具
備する。
好ましい態様においては、自動販売機と中央コ
ンピユータとの間の通信リンクとして、電話線を
使用するけれども、無線、電信通信等の他の形態
の通信リンク、これらの組合せた通信リンク等を
用いることができる。
好ましい制御形態は、分散型プロセツシングに
よる。即ち、機能の一部は、ポイントモジユール
のマイククロプロセツサの制御下にあり、他の機
能の一部は中央コンピユータのみによつて制御さ
れ、更に他の機能の一部は、ポイントモジユール
のマイクロプロセツサ及び中央コンピユータの両
者によつて制御される。
本発明によると、サービス作業、即ち、自動販
売機への品物の再充填、硬貨ボツクスを空にする
作業等と、保守作業、即ち自動販売機を良好な運
転しうる状態に維持する作業とを識別し、且つ予
定されたサービス作業と予定されていないサービ
ス作業を識別し、予定された保守作業と予定され
ていない保守作業とを識別する。これによつて、
不法な侵入を効果的に防止する。
本発明の目的及び付随する利点は、添付図面を
参照して下記詳細な説明によつて明らかとなるで
あろう。
実施例 次に添付図面を参照して本発明の好適実施例を
説明する。
まず、第１図は、複数の自動販売機５０ａ，５
０ｂ及び５０ｃと、中央コンピユータ５２との接
続関係を示している。
第２図は、監視されるべき自動販売機の各々に
配置されているポイントモジユール１０の構成、
並びに、ポイントモジユール１０と自動販売機の
各構成部材及び中央コンピユータとの接続関係を
示している。ポイントモジユール１０は、電話回
線を介して中央コンピユータ５２に接続するため
電話インターフエース３６に接続されている。ポ
イントモジユール１０は、無線如き他の通信手段
を介して、中央コンピユータ５２に接続すること
もできる。
ポイントモジユール１０は、選択手段２４の動
作により変更することができる構成制御回路２２
を備えていて、種々のタイプの自動販売機と容易
に接続することができるようになつている。
自動販売機に配置されたポイントモジユール１
０は、中央コンピユータ５２からの信号に従つて
初期化プロセスを遂行する。ポイントモジユール
の識別番号、中央コンピユータのアクセス電話番
号等はメモリ３２に記憶され、他の必要な情報が
中央コンピユータ５２のメモリに記憶される。メ
モリ３２として、ワイヤードメモリ、半導体
ROM又はEPROM、光学的メモリ等を使用する
ことができる。
ポイントモジユール１０は、中央コンピユータ
５２からの受信データの有効性をチエツクする。
この有効性のチエツクは、例えば、米国特許第
4241237号に記載されているとおり、周知の技術
に従つている。
好ましい態様において、ポイントモジユール１
０は40個の入力を有し、その内の34個の入力は、
自動販売機との接続のために使用される。
ポイントモジユール１０は、ACアイソレータ
１２及びDCアイソレータ１４を具備し、有害な
電流がポイントモジユール１０に入力されること
を防止する。ポイントモジユール１０は40個より
多くの入力、例えば、64個又はそれより多くの入
力を有すように構成することもできる。
自動販売機は、典型的には１６又はそれより多
くの販売カラム、販売モータ、ソレノイド又は命
令信号に応答して選ばれた製品を分配するための
他の適当な手段を含む貯蔵区画を具備する。第２
図において１−１８の番号を付けられた販売モー
タ入力は、販売モータのそれぞれに接続されてい
る。ニユートラル線“ACニユートラル（Ｌ２）”
とこれらの信号との間の電圧の変化が、関連した
販売カラムからの製品の販売を示す。８個の販売
カラムを有する自動販売機は、販売モータ入力１
乃至８に接続され、販売モータ入力９乃至１６を
開いたままとする。これらは、もちろん、他の所
望のデータをポイントモジユール１０に導入のた
めの追加の入力端子として使用することができ
る。販売モータ入力からの信号は、ACアイソレ
ータ１２、及びビツトステータスラインＢ１２−
OUTを介してポイントモジユール１０の入出力
マルチプレクサ１６に供給される。
ACアイソレータ１２には、更に、販売状況及
び電力入力である。“売切れ入力”、“釣銭なし入
力”及び“販売リレー入力”が接続されている。
さらに、ACアイソレータ１２には、冷凍圧縮器
RCからの信号がリレイを介して供給される。
第２図に示したとおり、自動販売機からの信号
は、更に、１３個のDC入力を介してDCアイソレ
ータ１４に供給される。DC入力に供給された信
号は、DCアイソレータ１４及びのビツトステー
タスラインＢ１４−OUTを介して、入出力マル
チプレクサ１６に供給される。
これらのDC入力に供給される信号は、４つの
異なつた金種の自動販売機の硬貨スロト中への硬
貨の挿入に応答して発生した信号を含む。即ち、
例えば、１ドル、25セント、10セント及び５セン
ト金種に対する入力信号がある。更に、25セン
ト、10セント及び５セントのそれぞれの金種の返
却される硬貨の応答して発生されるDCアイソレ
ータ１４への３つの入力信号がある。これらの硬
貨入れ及び硬貨出し信号のすべては自動販売機業
界の通常の熟練者には良く知られた標準機構であ
る釣銭器と関連している。
DC入力には、ドアスイツチ５８、入り肯定応
答スイツチ６０及びサービススイツチ６６からの
入力信号も与えられる。これらの信号について
は、後に第３図及び第４図を参照して、詳細に説
明する。
DC入力には、更に、高温及び低温センサTH
及びTLからの信号も与えられる。
ポイントモジユール１０のすべての回路は、低
い電力消費のためのシーモス（CMOS）テクノ
ロジで作られるのが好ましい。効果的な自動販売
機システムを管理するための充分な情報を中央コ
ンピユータへ提供するたる充分な量のデータを発
生するのに多数の入力ラインが必要であるから、
マイクロプロセツサの使用が好ましい。更にマイ
クロプロセツサの使用は、構成制御２２及び選択
手段２４を用いることによつて、より多数の異な
る型式の販売機に適切に接続することができるよ
うにする。
ポイントモジユール１０は、更に、クロツクジ
エネレータ回路２８、ROM／RAMメモリ２０、
マイクロプロセツサインターフエース回路２６、
出力制御回路３０、及ひ選択可能なジヤンパー回
路３４を具備する。これらの構成部材は、従来技
術の実質的に標準型である。
ポイントモジユール１０のすべてのタイミング
は、クロツクジエネレータ回路２８により与えら
れる。このクロツクジエネレータ回路２８は、例
えば、基本周波数25600ヘルツを有するクオーツ
型である。
マイクロプロセツサ１８ほ、ACアイソレータ
１２、DCアイソレータ１４、入出力マルチプレ
クサ１６等を介して、硬貨投入、販売状況、自動
販売機内部の温度等のデータを受け取り、自動販
売機の構成部材の各々に命令信号を送るととも
に、これらのデータ等を、マイクロプロセツサイ
ンターフエイス回路２６、出力制御回路３０、及
び電話インタフエース３６を介して中央コンピユ
ータに送る。
このようなポイントモジユール１０は、米国特
許第4241237号に記載されている装置と同様に作
動する。
次に、第３図及び第４図を参照して、本発明好
適実施例を更に説明する。第３図は、本発明好適
実施例に従う自動販売機の遠隔監視装置の構成を
示しており、第４図は、その作動をフローチヤー
トで示している。
第３図において、自動販売機５０は製品を収容
する貯蔵区画５４を具備し、この貯蔵区画５４に
は、ドア５６を介して製品を充填することができ
る。
ドアスイツチ５８は、自動販売機５０のドア５
６が開くと作動するように、位置付けられてい
る。ドアスイツチ５８は、自動販売機５０の開閉
状態をポイントモジユール１０に入力するスイツ
チであり、磁気的に作動するマイクロスイツチ、
光学的センサ、近接スイツチ等のスイツチで構成
することができる。
入り肯定応答スイツチ６０は、好ましくは、自
動販売機５０の内側に隠れた位置に配置された押
ボタンスイツチであり、その位置は自動販売機５
０に入る権利を有した人のみが知る。ドアスイツ
チ５８を作動後の経過時間が、ドアタイマ６２に
よつてカウントされ、予め決められた時間（例え
ば10秒間）内に、この入り肯定応答スイツチ６０
を作動すると、論理回路６４が、自動販売機５０
への許可された入りがなされたことを示す、“正
当な入り信号”を生成する。上記予め決められた
期間内に、入り肯定応答スイツチ６０が作動され
ないと、論理回路６４が、自動販売機５０へ許可
されていない入りがなされたことを示す“不法入
り信号”を生成し、この信号に従つて、警報が発
せられる。
サービススイツチ６６は、サービス作業、即
ち、自動販売機５０への製品を充填する作業、硬
貨ボツクスを空にする作業等のため自動販売機内
に入つたことを示すデータを作るため設けられて
いる。
サービス作業を行うときは、サービスマンは、
ドア５６を開けた後、所定時間内に入り肯定応答
スイツチ６０を押し、しかる後サービススイツチ
６６を押す。所定時間内に入り肯定応答スイツチ
６０が押されることによつて、論理回路６４が、
“正当な入り信号”を生成し、しかる後、サービ
ススイツチ６６が押されることによつて、“サー
ビス信号”が生成される。これらによつて、サー
ビス作業信号生成手段６８が、“サービス作業信
号”を生成し、サービス作業が行われることが示
される。
この実施例においては、ドアタイマ６２、論理
回路６４及びサービス作業信号生成手段６８の作
動を、マイクロプロセツサ１８が果す。
好ましくは、上記所定時間内“正当な入り信
号”及び“サービス信号”の双方が生成されたと
きのみに、サービス作業信号生成手段６８が、
“サービス作業信号”を生成する。そして、上記
所定時間内に“正当な入り信号”が生成され、
“サービス信号”が、所定時間内に生成されずに、
所定時間経過後に生成されたときは、“不法入り
信号”を生成するように構成する。
また、最初に入り肯定応答スイツチ６０を押さ
ずにサービススイツチ６６を押すと、サービス作
業信号生成手段６８が、“不法入り信号”を生成
する。
保守作業を行うときは、ドア５６か開けられた
後、サービスマンは、所定時間内に入り肯定応答
スイツチ６０のみを押す。所定時間内に入り肯定
応答スイツチ６０が押されると、“正当な入り信
号”が生成される。引き続いて、サービススイツ
チ６６が押されず、“サービス信号”が生成され
ないと、“サービス作業信号”が生成されない。
これらによつて、中央コンピユータ５２の保守作
業信号生成手段７２が、“保守作業信号”を生成
し、保守作業が行われることを示す。
このようにして、これ等の３つのスイツチ、即
ち、ドアスイツチ５８、入り肯定スイツチ６０及
びサービススイツチ６６の作動の組合せによつ
て、中央コンピユータ５２によつて分析のため
の、各自動販売機についての非常に価値のある情
報を生成する。
サービスマンが自動販売機５０のドア５６を初
めて開けたとき、彼は所定時間（例えば10秒間）
以内に適切なスイツチを押さなければならない。
しかしながら、彼が、例えば10分以内に自動販売
機５０のドア５６を再び開けた場合、彼がこれら
のスイツチを押さなくても、不法入り警報は発せ
られないように構成することができる。この10分
間に、サービスマンは、トラツクから自動販売機
へ製品を充填すること等を繰り返すことができ
る。
中央コンピユータ５２は、それぞれの自動販売
機のサービス及び保守作業のための予定された作
業時間を記憶することにより、その作業が、予定
されたたサービス作業又は保守作業か、予定され
ていないサービス作業又は保守作業かを、区別す
ることができる。
予定されたサービス作業時間内に“サービス作
業信号”が生成されたか否かを、第１の識別手段
７０によつて、判定することによつて、予定され
たサービス作業か、予定されていないサービス作
業かを識別することができる。
上記のとおりに、所定時間内に、入り肯定応答
スイツチ６０の作動があり、引き続いて“サービ
ス作業信号”の生成がないとき“保守作業信号”
が生成される。これによつて、保守作業が行われ
たこと識別される。そして、予定された保守作業
時間内に、“保守作業信号”が生成されたか否か
を、第２の識別手段７４によつて、判定して、予
定された保守作業と予定されていない保守作業と
を識別することができる。
このように、自動販売機内への予定された入り
と、予定されていない入りを区別するとによつ
て、安全度を高めることができる。予定されてい
ない入りは、不法入りを防止するための手段を破
つて不法な入りである可能性がある。例えば、予
定されていない入りが、異常に多くの回数起つて
いるとき、あるいは、予定されていない入りが、
夜中に起つているときは、不法な入りが起つたと
考えられる。
効 果 上記のとおりであるので、本発明によると、自
動販売機内への入り状況のデータを得て、不法な
入りを監視するすることができる。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １ 自動販売機５０のドアの開閉を中央コンピユ
    ータ５２によつて遠隔監視する、自動販売機の遠
    隔監視装置において、 該自動販売機５０が、 販売する製品を入れる複数個の貯蔵区画５４
    と、 該貯蔵区画５４への出入りを可能にするドア５
    ６と、 該ドア５６が開いていることを感知して、ドア
    開信号を生成するドアスイツチ５８と、 該ドア５６が開けられるまで作動不可能であ
    る、該自動販売機５０内に位置する入り肯定応答
    スイツチ６０と、 上記ドア開信号の生成後の経過時間を測定する
    ドアタイマ６２と、 上記ドア開信号生成後、所定時間内に該入り肯
    定応答スイツチ６０が作動されたときに、正当な
    入り信号を生成し、上記所定時間内に該入り肯定
    応答スイツチが作動されなかつたときに、不法入
    り信号を生成する論理回路６４と、 該自動販売機５０のサービスをするための該自
    動販売機５０内への入りを表す、手動作動に応答
    したサービス信号を生成するサービススイツチ６
    ６と、 上記正当な入り信号及び上記サービス信号の生
    成に応答して、サービス作業信号を生成するサー
    ビス作業信号生成手段６８とを具備し、 該中央コンピユータ５２が、 メモリに記憶された所定の予定されたサービス
    作業時間内に上記サービス作業信号が生成された
    か否かを判定して、予定されたサービス作業と予
    定されていないサービス作業を識別する第１の識
    別手段７０と、 上記所定時間内に、該入り肯定応答スイツチ６
    ０の作動があり、引き続いてサービス作業信号の
    生成がないときに、保守作業信号を生成する保守
    作業信号生成手段７２と、 メモリに記憶された所定の予定された保守作業
