Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a base material for wet swabbing cloths, excellent in water absorptivity and capable of withstanding severe use by laminating a nonwoven fabric containing a specific % or more of heat-fusible fiber to both surfaces of unsized water absorbing base paper, forming a three-layer structure and then carrying out heating embossing treatment. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabrics containing at least >=30% heat-fusible fiber such as polyethylene or polypropylene are superposed on both surfaces of unsized water absorbing base paper in a sandwich form to form a three-layer structure. The resultant sandwich is then pressed with heated embossing rolls to heat-fuse the nonwoven fabrics on both the surfaces and simultaneously apply uneven processing to at least one surface thereof. Furthermore, the water absorbing base paper in the central part is impregnated with a chemical composed of a surfactant for removing fouling, alcohols for sterilization, diols for preventing evaporation, flavonols for deodorization or perfumes or mixtures thereof.

<Means for Solving the Problems> In other words, the present invention positions a nonwoven fabric containing at least 30% of heat-fusible fibers on both sides of a sizeless water-absorbing base paper, and embosses the fabric with a heated embossing roll from both sides. This is a method for producing a base material for a wet rag, in which the nonwoven fabrics on both sides are heat-sealed by applying pressure, and at least one surface thereof is processed to have an uneven shape.

In addition, the present invention places nonwoven fabrics containing at least 30% of heat-fusible fibers on both sides of a sizeless water-absorbing base paper, and heat-fuses the nonwoven fabrics on both sides by applying pressure with heated embossing rolls from both sides. This is a method for producing a base material for a wet rag, in which at least one surface of the base material is textured, and then the central water-absorbent base paper is impregnated with a chemical solution having a wiping function.
