[Prior art] In conventional rail welding, when a copper butt is brought into contact with a rail, as proposed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 45-14173, a feed screw is inserted through a female thread provided at the bottom of the copper weld. There is a method in which the copper butt is brought into contact with the rail by rotation. This device has the advantage that the contact of the copper pad during welding can be carried out mechanically without interrupting the welding. However, in this device, the degree of freedom of the copper dowel is only in the forward and backward linear directions, and there is no countermeasure against misalignment when attaching the device to the rail, which poses a problem that hinders the movement of the copper dowel. Furthermore, when the copper butt is brought into contact with the rail using a feed screw, play or play occurs due to the screw, making it impossible for the copper butt to come into close contact with the rail. Further, when the copper butt is brought into contact with the rail, it is not possible to fix the copper butt with a constant torque, and in some cases, there is a problem in that more torque than necessary is applied, leading to damage to the screw thread. Furthermore, since the female screw provided at the lower part of the copper butt is integral with the copper butt, it is difficult to remove it after welding, which poses a problem in workability.

In addition, in the copper dowel pressing device proposed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-249680, the copper dot is moved from a feed screw to a rail by a drive device using a pair of left and right drive shafts (racks) and a gear box. The contact method is described in . The device is equipped with a pair of drive devices and can be moved left and right independently, and can also be operated manually using a push button. However, even with this device, there are problems such as uneven contact of the copper dowel due to misalignment of the rail or misalignment when installing the device, damage to the gear due to excessive torque of the motor, and backlash and play that occurs between the rack and pinion gear. The problem has not been improved. Furthermore, since the rack and the copper dowel are fixed, there is a problem in workability as there is some support when removing the rack after welding is completed.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The present invention was devised in view of the problems of the prior art described above, and its gist is that the copper butt used in rail welding is pressed against the rail as the welding progresses, and the copper A spring is provided between the steel plates for pressing at the rear of the bolt, and a hole with a diameter larger than the head of the bolt connecting the copper butt and the steel plate for pressing is provided on the surface of the steel plate for pressing, so that the bolt head is wedged. A copper butt pressing device for rail welding is characterized in that it is locked.

This will be explained below using the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of a copper dowel pressing device according to the present invention. 3 is a steel plate for pressing the copper dowel, 2 is the copper dot, 4 is a bolt connecting the copper dot and the steel plate for pressing the copper dot, and 5 is provided on the steel plate 3 for pressing the copper dot. The hole 5 has a larger diameter than the head of the bolt 4. 6 is a wedge for connecting the steel plate 3 for pressing the copper dowel and the bolt 4, and the wedge 6 is used by being inserted into a groove 7 provided in the surface of the steel plate for pressing the copper dot. Reference numeral 8 indicates a spring provided between the copper butt and the steel plate 3 for pressing, and 9 is a washer that prevents the spring 8 from falling into the hole 5 provided in the surface of the steel plate for pressing the copper butt. . In use, the above parts are assembled into a set, and the copper butt 2 is brought into contact with the rail 1 using a copper butt drive device installed parallel to the welding line.

FIG. 2 is a side view of an embodiment in which the device according to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 of the present invention is used and a copper stopper is brought into contact with the rail. In the figure, l indicates the amount of deflection of the spring caused by pressing the copper pad 2 against the rail 1 using a drive device using a motor 10 and a rack 11.
In the range where the spring 8 is bent, a load greater than the spring constant is not applied to the copper abutment 2, and the copper abutment 2 can always be brought into contact with the rail 1 with a constant load. Also, as shown in Fig. 3, if various limit switches are used together like 16a or 16b,
The copper butt 2 can be brought into contact with the rail 1 with a more constant load. Further, since the spring 8 is deflected, there is an effect of preventing damage to the reduction gear 12 used in the drive device.
At the same time, the deflection of the spring 8 absorbs the looseness and play that occurs between the gears, so the copper pad 2
The adhesion between rail 1 and rail 1 is good. Also, the connecting bolt 4
By fixing it with a wedge 6 with a gap larger than the bolt diameter, the copper dowel 2 has a degree of freedom in vertical, horizontal, and diagonal directions with respect to the weld line and the horizontal and vertical directions.
It can respond to misalignment of the rail 1 and misalignment of the copper stopper 13 surrounding the rail 1, and can reliably contact the rail 1. Also, use the wedge 6 to connect the connecting bolt 4.
By stopping the copper pad 2, the copper pad 2 can be easily attached and detached, which has the effect of greatly improving workability, maintainability, and versatility. Further, the shape of the wedge 6 is not limited to the shape shown in FIG. 4a, but may be circular as shown in FIG. 4b, or may be a combination of the hole 5 and wedge 6 as shown in FIG. 4c. Also wedge 6
The method of stopping is not limited to the one shown in Figure 5 a, but also the one shown in Figure 5 b.
You can also stop it like this. In addition, when it is desired to limit the degree of freedom provided by the spring 8 in this device, the degree of freedom is restricted by using a pipe-shaped spacer 14 that is shorter than the gap m between the copper butt 2 and the pressing steel plate 3, as shown in FIG. It is possible to create suitable conditions.

In addition, using the equipment shown in Figure 2, the first layer is welded using Uranami welding using the submerged arc welding method, and the second and subsequent layers are butt welded using the electroslag welding method. When the copper butt 2 was brought into contact with the rail 1 as the welding progressed, the copper weld 2 came into contact with the rail 1 without any hindrance, and there was no slag leakage during welding, and welding was interrupted. I was able to weld continuously all the way to the head without any welding.
