Claims (1)
- 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 現像剤担持体上に保持される乾式一成分現像剤
を、該現像剤担持体表面に摺擦するように当接さ
れる所定幅の摩耗する現像剤規制部材を用い、該
現像剤担持体表面上で均一薄層状になして、潜像
担持体上の潜像の現像を行う現像装置において、
現像剤担持体と当接する前記規制部材の先端縁の
形状が、この先端縁の摩耗に拘わらず次式 θＴ＝１８０°−ｃｏｓ−１ ｛（Ｒ＋Ｌ２）２−（ｄ＋Ｌ１）２−（Ｒ＋ｄ
）２−２（Ｌ１＋ｄ）・（Ｒ＋ｄ）｝ ただし、θＴ：現像剤進入角 Ｒ ：現像剤担持体の半径 ｄ ：現像剤の平均粒径 Ｌ１：規制部材の支点から現像剤担持
体と規制部材との当接位置までの距離 Ｌ２：該支点から現像剤担持体表面ま
での距離 により得られる現像剤進入角の値が所定の範囲に
あるように選ばれていることを特徴とする現像装
置。
