However, although it is true that these outdoor units require a small installation space when installed alone, they draw in air from the rear and blow out air from the front, so if you try to install multiple units side by side in a concentrated manner,
As shown in Fig. 8, in addition to the service space t, the space u necessary for blowing out, and the space v necessary for suction, there is space between each adjacent outdoor unit.
An extra space w must be provided to prevent the heat-exchanged winds from interfering with each other. Therefore, when installing in a concentrated manner, the actual installation space (A distance x
There was a drawback that the distance B) became large.

[Structure and operation of the device] This device has a box-shaped unit body whose depth and height are longer than the width;
An air outlet formed on the upper surface of the unit body,
a ventilation passage formed in the unit main body, the upper part of which communicates with the air outlet; and a blower installed in the upper part of the ventilation passage in the unit main body, facing the air outlet;
An outdoor heat exchanger is installed in the middle part of the ventilation passage, which is higher than the floor by a predetermined dimension inside the unit body, to block this ventilation passage in the vertical direction and to have a V-shaped cross section in the depth direction. At one end in the depth direction, there is a ventilation passage that accommodates the outdoor heat exchanger, and a machine room that accommodates the compressor, electrical parts box, etc., which is divided into front and back sections via a partition plate, and the depth of the unit body. A suction port that communicates with the ventilation passage on the air suction side of the outdoor heat exchanger, which is formed on both the left and right sides of the unit and the lower part of the side opposite to the unit main body where the machine room is installed, is provided. The reason lies in the configuration of the outdoor unit of the harmonizer.

As a result, when installing multiple indoor units in a concentrated manner, the machine room can be lined up in the same position.
A plurality of outdoor units can be installed in succession in the width direction so that the unit bodies are in close contact with each other, eliminating the space between the units. Moreover, since the outdoor unit body is box-shaped with a larger depth and height than width, the overall width can be kept small even when multiple units are installed in parallel in the width direction, allowing for compact installation. becomes possible. Furthermore, by installing them side by side, the machine rooms of each unit are lined up horizontally in the same position, so electrical wiring to the machine room of each outdoor unit, piping connections with the indoor unit, etc. can be done in line with the arrangement. It is only necessary to carry out the construction work, and the work required for installation can be done rationally, making the installation work easier. Moreover,
Maintenance work after installation can be performed efficiently. In addition, the outdoor heat exchanger has air suction ports formed on both left and right sides in the depth direction of the unit main body, and in the lower part of the side opposite to the unit main body where the machine room is installed. Since air is taken in from the suction port that communicates with the side ventilation passages, a sufficient amount of air intake can be secured in the ventilation passages of each indoor unit even when they are installed side by side.

This outdoor heat exchanger has each end arranged in the middle part of the ventilation passage, which is a certain dimension higher than the floor surface inside the unit main body, so that the ventilation passage is blocked in the vertical direction and has a V-shaped cross section in the depth direction. It is attached so as to come into contact with the back side plate surface portion which is the upper stage of the opening 8b and the plate surface portion of the partition plate 2 facing thereto. Thereby, the outdoor heat exchanger is configured such that each suction port 8a, 8a, 8b communicates with the ventilation path 9 on the air suction side, and the air outlet 7 communicates with the ventilation path 9 on the air blowout side. It is configured like this. That is, the outdoor heat exchanger 10 is designed to exchange heat with the outside air sucked in through the suction ports 8a, 8a and the outside air sucked in through the suction port 8b.
Note that the upper end of the outdoor heat exchanger 10 is connected to each suction port 8.
The upper ends of a and 8a are tightly joined to the side plates of the unit main body 1, and both ends are closely joined to the partition plate 2 and the back plate of the unit main body 1, so that the air sucked in passes through the heat exchanger. The structure is such that it is guided upward through the tube.

In addition, drain piping becomes easier. That is, by adopting a structure in which a drain plate 12 is provided at the lower part of the outdoor heat exchanger 10 and a rotatable drain pipe 13 is provided in the drain plate 12, for example, as shown in FIG. By installing one drain header pipe 14 in the drain pipe, and connecting each drain pipe 13 of the outdoor unit to the header pipe 14 by determining the direction, there is no need for extra piping for intensive installation of the outdoor unit. Drain water can be concentrated and drained even when plumbing work is not required. In particular, in a normal outdoor unit, the bottom floor of the unit body 1 also serves as a drain pan, making it difficult to secure the head needed to drain the drain water. A drain pan 12 is provided in the lower space of the outdoor heat exchanger 10 (between the outdoor heat exchanger 10 and the bottom floor of the unit main body 1), and the drain pan 12 is set at a high position, making it easy to Moreover, a sufficient head difference can be obtained. For this reason, piping work is simple and drainage is extremely good.

[Effects of the invention] As explained above, according to this invention, when multiple indoor units are installed in a concentrated manner, the multiple outdoor units are placed next to each other in the width direction so that the machine rooms are lined up in the same position. The units can be installed side by side in close proximity, eliminating the space between units. In addition, since the outdoor unit body is box-shaped with a larger depth and height than width, the overall width can be kept small even when multiple units are installed in parallel in the width direction. Compact installation is possible. Furthermore, by installing them side by side, the machine rooms of each unit are lined up horizontally in the same position, so electrical wiring to the machine room of each outdoor unit, piping connections with the indoor unit, etc. can be done in line with the arrangement. All you have to do is carry out the construction work, and the work necessary for installation can be done rationally.
Installation work becomes easier. Moreover, maintenance work after installation can be performed efficiently. In addition, the outdoor heat exchanger has air suction ports formed on both left and right sides in the depth direction of the unit main body, and in the lower part of the side opposite to the unit main body where the machine room is installed. Since air is taken in from the suction port communicating with the side ventilation path, the effect is that even if the indoor units are installed side by side, a sufficient amount of intake air can be ensured through the ventilation path of each indoor unit.
