Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable two channels to be reproduced simultaneously by scanning two-channel range with a reproduction head and by converting the data which is reproduced in the reverse direction to data in the forward direction by write/ read with a memory means. CONSTITUTION:Recorded data in CH1 can be reproduced in the forward direction, while data in CH2 can be reproduced in the reverse direction. A magnetic head 12 scans entire width of a magnetic tape 10 and the output is amplified by a head amplifier 14, is demodulated by a demodulation circuit 16, and then is written into a memory 18. An image processing circuit 20 controls a memory 18 through a memory control circuit 32, reads data in CH1 in the order of writing, and then reads data in CH2 after converting it in forward direction, thus enabling 2-channel recording information to be reproduced simultaneously.
